It’s been an emotional rollercoaster of a season for the Los Angeles Lakers and their fans.
Snoop Dogg has had harsh criticism for the team and more specifically star big man Anthony Davis — who is going through another injury-riddled season — and the West Coast icon revealed over the weekend that his AD chatter crossed the line to the point Davis unfollowed Snoop on Instagram.
“That n-gga [Anthony Davis] get hurt every time he go for a rebound, layup, rebound,” Snoop said of AD. “I ain’t got nothing to say to that n-gga. That n-gga unfollowed me on Instagram. I called him a ‘hoe-ass n-gga, soft, you too big to be playing in the middle.’ Tht n-gg unfollowed me.”
However, not all love is lost as Snoop Dogg still follows the Lakers superstar on Instagram and holds a strong friendship with LeBron James.
The Lakers were a title favorite coming into the season but have struggled for a myriad of reasons to post a record of 26-28 and currently hold the 9th seed in the Western Conference.

Anthony Davis could play his way back into Snoop Dogg’s good graces during the second half of the season. Since returning from injury, AD is averaging over 29 points and 13 rebounds per game over his last five games.
The Lakers will look to put a winning streak together heading into the 2022 All-Star break when they meet up for a contest with the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks at the Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday night (February 8).

You could argue the Celtics were a super team first also. Garnett, Allen, Pierce, Rondo, Perkins, through in guys like PJ Brown, Tony Allen, Big Baby Davis, Rashad Wallace, That team was no joke. I always thought Miami was a great team but not a super team, Bosh was overrated similar to Kevin Love. Lebron was just good at that time it made that team look like a super team but they never were. Same With MJ he was so good during their run it made the Bulls look like a super team but they never were either. They beat a old ran down Lakers team that no longer had Kareem or Pat Riley. Plus Magic was coming off a serious Knee injury. That Lakers team wasn’t great. That Jazz team had Malone who was the Mvp but that Jazz roster wasn’t all that great. After Malone the next best player was John Stockton good guard, took care of the ball, had a great jump shot, could defend but didn’t have the ability to take over a game offense or defense and was completely outmatched by Harper, Pippen, the only guy he could match up with was Kerr. Mean while Bulls had MJ one of the greatest ever and Pippen, Kukoc and Harper who all had the ability to take over the game on Both sides of the ball. The Bulls were a great team, But I don’t ever think they ever had to face another great team to win in the Finals. Everybody but the Utah Jazz were one offs and never even got back to the finals. That lakers team never got back, blazers never got back, suns never got back, sonics never got back. The only other team that got to the finals back to back in the West besides the Jazz were the Rockets. Bulls never played them and they never played anyone as good as Hakeem.
So those Lakers and Jazz just happened to stumble upon the NBA Finals by accident? No of course not…they were great teams that beat out all other great teams. The reason why the Blazers, Sonics, and Suns are “one-offs” is because all other teams were so great, AKA parity! The parity in the league during the past decade has been terrible, which is what allowed Lebron to steamroll the East almost every year in the 2010’s. Cavs vs Warriors 4 years in a row means parity is low. More specifically, low parity means low competition. During those 4 years the Cavs met the Warriors in the Finals, the Cavs had to beat the Raps, Celts, & Hawks in the Conf Finals…all teams that had zero superstars to combat Lebron. Jordan had to face legitimate hall of fame superstars in his Conf Finals.

Both can be great without you having to hate on either. I thought what Lebron did changed the league for the better. It’s more exciting now, especially during Free agency. He empowered players to feel like they can leave if it’s in they’re best interest. The team will trade you if it benefits them. It would have been boring if Lebron had stayed in Cleveland for 19 years. In you’re suppose to chase rings. I would say it’s crazier that a guy with that type of money is still motivated to keep himself in tip top condition to compete, gotta give him credit. I thought the same about K.G when he sign that 100 mill deal. These cats got all that money and still play like they are broke, so big respect to Bron, KD, Jimmy Butler and cats like that.
