Snoop Dogg & Master P Rename Cereal Brand & Unveil New Flavors Following Legal Threat

Snoop Dogg and Master P are back in action with a new name and flavors for their cereal brand after facing legal action over its original name.

Tha Doggfather and No Limit boss shared a video on YouTube this week announcing the rebranding of their breakfast product, which will now be called Snoop Cereal.

They also revealed the cereal will come in three new flavors — Frosted Drizzlers, Fruity Hoopz with marshmallows and Cinnamon Toasteez — which Snoop and Master P taste-tested in the clip.

The rap moguls have partnered with Minnesota-based cereal company Post Cereals to produce Snoop Cereals, which is set to hit shelves in June 2023.

“Thanks to Post for looking at diversity,” Master P said. “We own this company. No, it’s not just us putting our name on this. We’re going to pass this down from generation to generation. We talking about generational wealth.”

Earlier this month, Master P and Snoop Dogg revealed they were being forced to rename their cereal brand, which was originally called Snoop Loopz, after claiming the cereal industry trying to hinder their early success.

In an Instagram video, the “Lay Low” collaborators explained they were looking for a new name for their company after attempts from unnamed competitors to ban their product from shelves and prevent African-American entrepreneurs from gaining a foothold in the market.

“So they don’t want us to use Snoop Loopz on our cereal box even though that’s that’s my name,” they wrote in the caption. “We’ve built a national brand and disrupted the cereal industry, we did it with hard work and integrity. I know they’re uncomfortable and scared.”

Snoop added in the video: “We did this for the people, we did this for the family, we did this to make sure that people had something to eat. P has been out there touching these kids, making sure that they got lots of food, making sure that these homes and these people that deal with the homeless and getting them back on their feet have access to this, so we doing a good thing.”

Snoop Loopz isn’t Snoop Dogg and Master P’s only business venture. Earlier this year, they teamed up with the Future Healers Program to help 10-year-old Malakai Roberts publish a book titled Adventures with Malakai. The book, which is set to hit shelves in 2023, is about overcoming adversity and aims to inspire kids to do the same.

    1. “We broke into the cereal i know they’re u comfortable and scared” lmaooo yeah a cereal company is shook lmaoo grown men still walking w mindset of a rebel teenager looking to upstage daddy.. just make cereal and stfu

      1. U STFU racist bum all u do sit post hide behind keyboard talk shit u don’t know wat takes get into those doors FUCK POST MONOPOLIES

      2. “He’s racisssss because he agrees companies shouldn’t be able to rip off others products and should come up with original ideas!”. Hell, it’s even racist that they won’t let me sell Aligatorade in all the stores nationwide! If they weren’t racist, they’d be cool with me essentially stealing their product!

      3. Yeah, it’s a wonder why the creator of Fruit Loops would not want a competing brand to sell the same exact product under the name “snoop loopz”. As other comments said, you can sell knock offs. But they can’t have the same “likeness”. I can sell knock off oreos and call them “cream filled cookies” all day long. But I can’t call them “Moreos” for more cream in the middle. That would be a blatant rip off. Just like I can’t open a theme park like “BisneyLand” and have a mouse mascot with a Cinderella esque castle on the park. Is it really that hard to comprehend?

    2. They make knock offs of frosted flakes, fruit loops and cinimon toast crunch. How is that diversity ? Its the same flavors in a different box.

    3. Literally all of there new and “diverse” products are knock offs of actually original ideas. It’s cereal. It can’t be that hard to think outside the box. Hell, original waffle crisp was amazing stuff. The bee recipe isn’t slightly the same, as they lowered sugar in all cereals the pas 15 years or so. But yeah, these dudes talk like teenage rebels, as the other comment here said. It’s really a joke. None of this had to do with “anti African American” (they’re American. I’m not Mexican American, my grandparents were because the immigrated directly from Mexico. Now I’m just American). It has to do with blatant ripping of other brands, snoop loopz rhymes with fruit loops, and it’s the same product with a name that sounds nearly identical. If they called it “Snoops frosted circles” there wouldn’t have been any threats of legal action. And if Snoop thought he was in the right, why cave? Why not keep the name? He’s worth over $125 million, so surely he and his investors could fight a BS lawsuit (hint. It wouldn’t have been BS, and Post/Kellogs would have EASILY won)

    4. Snoop loops….fruit loops. I would have hoped Snoop and Master P used an original name as opposed to riding the coattails of an established brand. They better then that. Be original.
