Miami-based record label Slip-N-Slide Records will release three major albums this year along with albums from a handful of newcomer’s. Although release dates have not yet been set, Plies [click to read], Trina [click to read], and Rick Ross [click to read] are all releasing albums some time this year. All three artists released albums last year, with Rick Ross‘ album Trilla being the most successful, as far as sales are concerned.
Slip-N-Slide will also debut albums from newcomer’s Shonie, Qwote, and Camar. Shonie and Camar hope to bring an R&B edge to the label, while Qwote will serve as one of the labels first Pop singers.
Aside from releasing debut albums from the aforementioned newcomers, Slip-N-Slide has also signed other artists such as Drew Sidora, Atiba and Swazy Baby. Slip-N-Slide Records reached a major milestone last month, when the label celebrated its 15th anniversary.
“I feel privileged to continue impacting people’s lives through music 15 years later,” Ted Lucas, CEO of Slip-N-Slide Records said in a statement. “We will continue to expand Slip-N-Slide Records in a major way this year and continue to make history not only in Hip Hop and R&B but in all genres of music.”
Along with releasing several albums this year Slip-N-Slide Records will also be opening 4 Star Recording Studio, a new high tech studio located in Miami.
