Shyne Compares “Bury Judas” To Nas’ “Ether” & Jay-Z’s “Takeover”

Shyne took his beef with Game to wax with his diss track “Bury Judas,” rapping, “I shoot the butterfly off your face / And tell Jesus peace, smile at your wake.”

During an interview with Vlad TV, Po said that his record was on par with Nas’ “Ether,” Jay-Z’s “Takeover” and 2Pac’s “Hit ‘Em Up,” stating that he had a strong influence on Chuck Taylor’s career and that the song was a response to his betrayal.

“‘Bury Judas’ is just really me documenting, if you will, the influence that I’ve had on this character,” he said. “I think ‘Bury Judas’ is on the level of ‘Ether,’ is on the level of ‘Takeover,’ is on the level of 2Pac, ‘Hit ‘Em Up.’ I think it was a very honest, powerful record.”

He also said that Game is more of a “Judas” than a “Jesus,” stating that the former is a “fork-tongued guy” who is “only concerned with preserving himself at all costs.”

“This kid has an album called Jesus Piece. This is what happened. Judas was a very duplicitous, fork-tongued guy. I don’t think he’s Jesus. I think he’s Judas. Because Jesus was a rabbi, married with kids. We don’t need to get into all that, but Judas was a traitor, Judas was a self-serving traitor that was only concerned with preserving himself at all costs.”

    1. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL,U GOT TO BE JOKIN…LOOOOOL?REALLY? 2. QUIRKY VOICE “BUSTA GAME WANNA RHYME LIKE PO..I RHYME LIKE I COMING OUT THE LAMBO”……… LOOOOL MAN GO WORK ON UR VOICE FOOL.

      1. True. Both weren’t great diss tracks. Hit me up was pretty weak. Drop a gem on em by mobb deep and canibus 2nd round knockout are the 2 best I’ve heard. Alongside bridge is over by krs one.

    3. I like shyne, but from what I just read…I think its pretty obvious prison messed him up. not everyone can come out the same on the other side

    4. I think Shyne gave a good interview. He cant beat a clown like Game at going back n forth, Game is to good at that. Shyne still way out there with this religion. Nobody, if you down with Jesus or not, believe he was married with children. I think Syne says this stuff for shock value and it backfires and makes him look crazy and out of touch. Jesus married with kids??? C’mon son, these niccas will say anything for attention.

    5. THAT INTERVIEW WAS JUST… SMH

THIS DUDE IS REALLY THAT DELUSIONAL HES COMPARING HIS WORK TO THE LIKES OF ROLLING STONES, MJ, THE BEATLES LMAO DUDE NEEDS HELP

      1. oh my fkin god he really said that?

he shouldnt even think about comparing himself to MJ

his zionist people are the ones who killed MJ anyway, fucktards

    6. I don’t know man, I think Shyne is still dope. Everybody complains about his voice, but I kinda like it. He talks like a old jewish mobster from brooklyn. And there’s more substance in one verse of his than most rapper’s whole albums. Honestly, I just think rap listeners don’t really know good lyrics when they hear ’em anymore. His rhyme are and have always been dope. Sure, his flow is not quite as sharp as it once was. But I’ll listen to Shyne before I listen to 99% of these other MCs. Oh, and Bury Judas was dope. So was “Belize”, “Roller Song”, “B.G.”, “Super Doll”, “Crown King of Judah” and “Really Doe”. One.

    7. do you think wale cares if he is an emcee anymore, he got tired of been an emcee thats why he he camped with mmg, and thats why Jay z is his mentor instead of nas.

    8. shyne really thinks he is more to the industry or culture than what he is…..I mean he talks like he did shit on the level of pac, nas, jay, big. And he hasn’t, he just hasn’t, he had one HOT album…it was dope i give him that but unfortunately, we all know what happend, his career got derailed. He is so stuck in the past….he needs to let shit go. You can tell that mentally he is still stuck in the early 2000’s

    9. LMAO this dude had 2 ok songs back in 99 and he thinks hes still relevant…drop your album you yenta n see how many people actually fuck with you

    10. shyne is clearly jealous of games career, thinking he can kill games career off with one of the worst diss songs i heard, no one cares about you shyne even if u die, no one will care

    11. Shyne lives in a fantasy world, everybody knows that. But it’s not his fault, he isnt in America so he doesnt realize how irrelevant he is. Maybe he Ether’d Game’s career in Belize or Isreal or wherever the fuck he lives, but if he were in a america he would see how few fucks are given about anything he has to say

    12. Delusions of grandeur. Him and Game do have vocal similarities though. But, c’mon son…this dude is acting like he’s God MC.

    13. Game like a baby Moses wrapped in red and placed in Reed coocoon. Floatin down a river babblin n unaware. Waitin for some ol but wise Troll to pluck him out, clean him, and make him King o th Peons. If Game be Judas, who be Shyne but another Peter-payin-Paul.

    14. “‘Bury Judas’ is just really me documenting, if you will, the influence that I’ve had on this character,” he said. “I think ‘Bury Judas’ is on the level of ‘Ether,’ is on the level of ‘Takeover,’ is on the level of 2Pac, ‘Hit Em Up.’ I think it was a very honest, powerful record.”

To say that means he has lost all prospective of his own talent or to be more accurate…..lack of talent!

Shyne you are just awful , just stop it! for all of us!

    15. Takeover, Hit ‘Em Up, Ether are on a high level. His shit was traaaaash.

Oh and Game is only concerned with himself yes, that’s exactly why he stepped in for Kendrick… bitch ass nigga

    16. This guy is delusional…really… he actually thinks he still has it, kind of like Foreman boxin as an old man..hang it up son.

      follow at noles506

    17. all these comments and not one person on here knows game or shyne personally enjoy the hip hop competition and shut the f*** up…

    18. lmao
what is up with wack rappers really believeing they are on Jay-Z,Nas or Pac level when in reality they have less juice in the industry than Soulja Boy? SHYNE.QUIT MUSIC.PLEASE!

      1. Yeah, originality is a selling point to me in a era where everybody sounds the same. Shyne is a nice MC. Everybody is just too caught up in the bullshit that goes on outside the booth. Rap is like fuckin wrestling now. I just listen to the music.

      1. good for him for not worshiping your blond hair blue eyed cloud daddy that was forced on your people by your god damn slavemasters.

    19. What type of influence could he really have on his career when Game for one was not in the business whne Shyne came out. 2nd Shyne was locked up for ten yrs while game was getting big. Yes, we all know Game called and visited him in prison but how does that have anything to do with helping him in his career. Shyne thinks he has influenced hip hop on the level of Pac, Nas, or Jay. Shyne has zero classic albums. Not considered top ten rapper or even top 20 .

    20. “This is exactly what I live for/
this for the ghetto, this is not for billboard/
this for the dope boys, duckin’ the task force/
screw the media and their rap wars/
News coverage says we’re all thuggish/
but they don’t talk about how we’re all punished/
and the sub-human things to which we are subject/
you wouldn’t know listenin’ to these so-called pundits/
before I go, did I mention Phil Specter?/
he bodied his broad, but his songs aren’t censored/
still they wanna give C-Murder the death sentence/
they’ll probably blame hip-hop for the death of Jon Lennon.”

      “..Middle finger to you critics/
I’m’a always be the illest whether mobster or hasidic/
don’t care about no image, I’m more into buildin’ bridges/
for the people, desert eagle cocked, standin’ on a pivot/
from Trayvon to Martin Luther King, they wanna kill us/
star of David in my vision, ya’ll should know who the king is/
It’s Moses, I’m the boat kid, hundred million dollars on the ocean/
bringin’ food to Africa to help the ethiopians/
      I’m all about philanthropy/
money for the poor, that’s big talk, can you answer me?/
smokin’ on a cuba…layin’ in the Cougar….King Crown of Judah”.

That nigga is a nasty MC.

I don’t expect most of ya’ll to understand. You’re the same dudes that thought Odd Future was the next Wu-Tang Clan a year ago. You niggas wouldn’t know a dope rhyme if it was under your noses. R.I.P. to the homey Guru.
