Saweetie Wants To Make A Twerk Anthem With Cardi B: ‘That Would Tear The Club Up, Okay?!’

Saweetie and Cardi B are in the same family of sorts as they’re both dating Migos members, but they’ve yet to get in the booth and solidify their relationship on wax. That doesn’t mean it’s not coming, though!

In a new interview with Greg Street on V-103 in Atlanta, the Bay Area native got excited at the prospect of a Cardi collab and made it clear that it will eventually happen.

“I can [hear that] too,” Saweetie said. “That would tear the club up, okay?! I think that would be cute. I think that would be a special moment as well. I can’t wait to collaborate with her!”

She also wants to get a good studio session in with her boo Quavo, as the other songs they’ve appeared on together were on beats that were already established – making it less organic.

“So we haven’t had the time because we’re so busy, but I told him, ‘This next record…’,” she said. “Like ’cause the last two records, three records we did together – the beat was already made. I feel like my best work comes from sitting in the studio with the producers and making the record with them so I definitely want to sit in the studio with my boo and create something from scratch, from the ground up. So if we’re able to make that in time, he will be on the album.”

    1. Its odd to me that Saweetie say something in an interview about working with Cardi instead of just hitn up Cardi.. They must not have a sister or friend type of relationship at all. They family by now.. Idk Just wierd to me. ?

    2. Ghetto and Ratchet
Can they think of something to motivate women instead of something for the club….smh.
      That’s all they know….its pathetic.

    3. I could do see City Girls on a remix to this song. It is a cute song for the millennials. Not the kind of rap I grew up listening to #80sBaby

    4. Saweetie could be ok but Cardi B? Drop a Whine Anthem!!!!! Too many twerk style tracks ( and I love them all) out there . Cardi’s addition would simply be a sales tactic. Saweetie has enough clout now that she could actually choose someone that can dance Cardi is amazing lyric wise and Caribbean background, but there’s plenty of other artists that are in another league when it comes to dancing. She should use the anthem to promote an up and coming rapper, especially a Caribbean or African based artist, maybe Lanae, a Jamaican artist ,she has the look of international star more than any artist out there and can vocal it out as well.

    5. Wow a list of nothing but negativity , and y’all wonder why black folks are oppressed non stop . How About , “ great article, that will definitely be something to look forward to !” SMDH …
