Sauce Money Criticizes Diddy & JAY-Z For Using ‘Same Backdoor Politics’ As Grammys

Sauce Money thinks Diddy is a hypocrite.

The Brooklyn-bred MC slammed Puff Daddy after watching the Bad Boy Records founder’s Salute To Industry Icons acceptance speech, which called out The Recording Academy for not respecting Hip Hop. Sauce, who wrote Puffy’s smash hit “I’ll Be Missing You,” criticized the Hip Hop mogul and former collaborator JAY-Z for allegedly engaging in the same industry politics as the Grammys.

“Just watched @Diddy Icon acceptance speech at the @RecordingAcad and I can honestly say I respect the message, just not coming from him,” he wrote via Twitter. “He practices the same backdoor politics against his own people. Him and his friend Jay Z. If the Grammys on the clock, then y’all are too!”

Sauce’s issues with Diddy have publicly surfaced before, sparking a 2019 diss track titled “Love Tap.” On the song, he rapped, “Did you forget who wrote your biggest hit? Nigga, my pen the reason you the shit.”

The veteran rapper’s latest criticism also took aim at JAY-Z, who worked with Sauce often in the past. The two famously collaborated on “Bring It On” from the 1996 classic Reasonable Doubt.

Sauce also contributed to Hov’s In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life LPs. The Roc Nation boss and Diddy were featured on Sauce’s debut album Middle Finger U as well.

        1. That’s the problem nobody wants to Stink….But its OK to stink as long as U properly WASH…Properly…lol Respect

    1. Nigga stop playing Big Bank take little Bank, shut up and go sit your ass down somewhere, damn where do all these hating ass niggas be coming from,

    2. I’m confused because not respecting black artists/rap in general is different from robbing ppl out of millions or whatever negroes are trying to accuse Jay
z of (n Jay is apparently the only person who give af that crazy shit happening in Mississippi)

    3. Puffy a clown, but dudes like Sauce Money have to be kidding. He should be glad he is eating off of publishing for writing for people because he was never that nice on the mike, and usually when people wrote for people like he did, they got fucked out of all of their money.

      1. You crazy asf to think Sauce Money wasn’t a fire mc. 1995-96 he was one of the best lyrist in the game. You saw how many times Jay worked with him early in his career on some of his most decolorated albums so you gotta be that nice and he is.

        1. Oh, and by the way, didn’t say he couldn’t write, which is why I said he should be happy he got to do that with people who actually paid him for his work. Lots of people don’t get that. Go ask the slaves off of Lauryn Hill’s albums or other people who worked at Bad Boy who got nada. As far as being on the mike, he wasn’t that nice.

    4. He is NOT WRONG!!!! After They’ve made MILLIONS off Da “Bullsh*t”, now u wanna be Sanctified & Holy?? And Ya Mans & Them was SACRIFICED?? F**K OUTTA HERE!!!!!

    5. Would have liked to see him elaborate on what these policies might be, interested to see if there is validity here. need those CARFAX buddy!

      1. He can’t elaborate, what he’s really upset about is the fact that he rubbed shoulders with two of the richest men in hiphop and doesn’t have anything close to what they have. Just like everybody else who’s not a multimillionaire who had multimillionaire (or billionaire) friends, he’s jealous and bitter…

    6. He never said anything. just a blanket accusation. But I’m sure he can contact Jay directly and air those grievances out.

    7. Here we go with the clout chasing (Sauce Money) Diddy is not worried about u he has too much money.I don’t understand us black people all the shit going in the world and everyone and everything coming at us we still come at each other and don’t stick together…..Smh when are we gonna grow

    8. Look. To be real!!! All of us black folks need to stop hating and killing each other. We give ourselves a bad name and look rediculous to every race. We’re embarrassing each other and everybody wanna laugh at us all together. If you don’t know. I’m gonna keep it real. Listen to the track self destruction. That’s all I got. Fuck all that bullshit!!

      1. Let’s keep it really real…some black folks will sell their kids souls to wear bullshit designer clothes and drive luxury cars , black folks are content with eating scraps under the table instead of having a seat at the table ….how can you ever be respected ….a lot of heads knock Tyler Perry even I don’t like some of his movies
But that the one that should be lauded ….make your own seat and they will come
As long as you live like a dog waiting for scraps …you get treated that way.
He can voice his opinion without the clown hater shit …there is more to life than being distracted by Celebrities

    9. Yo for all y’all that don’t no or never been in the streets it’s like this he ain’t hating on them dudes he saying don’t turn ya back on the ones that played a positive part of making u who u r today everybody don’t take the same road to get where they going or at just be mindful of the ones that got u where u at no fake shit

    10. You can’t change the industry from the hood. You have to be on the inside. They won a couple of trophies and are the major players in the gender. Now there words and actions have weight.

      1. Puff and Jay are the pinnacle when it comes to the entertainment business as far as being moguls and I’m not even talking about this whole hip hop and rap shit. They are major entities and know all the politics and protocols involved in this wicked industry. The sacrifices and rituals they go through being the scenes will never touch the public media unless you are in the industry yourself. The days of being just a great MC/rapper are long gone, they want you to be a puppet to for the masses and the slave for the executives who have major say for these record labels. Remember the media today is controlled by 6 major companies and one of them here in the UK is now Comcast which now has purchased Sky UK. The entertainment business, fashion is all the same shit at the end of the day. They’ve all sold out and sold their souls to the devil. You have Jay Z who you all adore for the billion dollars him and his wife share yet he throws the devil sign once he enters his car now WTF is that about? They are devil worshippers who are live occults and satanists trust me. I’ve seen live excorisms and do you know who throws up the devil horn signs? None other than the possessed person who has a Jinn/devil inside them. These dudes control the minds of the masses and Puff is right of course they control how people think, dress etc. Majority of these fucking fashion industries like Versace, Gucci are only rich because of these entertainment dudes keep making them hot and then the normal mf who may be a drug dealer will start rocking designers and then the working man will do the same. Meek Mill said it himself he is trying to stop wearing designers because he is making them hot. These guys in the industry honestly have the mind of the youth in a prison cell literally controlling them when it comes to brainwashing their minds with materialistic worldly shit that the devil wants to promote to lead us all astray. Puff and Jay know of the agenda very well and you got motherfuckers like Clive Davis who Michael Jackson called the devil.
