Rylo Rodriguez Clowned For Not Knowing What ‘G.O.A.T.’ Means Despite Calling Himself One

Rylo Rodriguez has been thoroughly ridiculed after admitting he had no idea what the acronym “G.O.A.T.” stood for, despite using the term in one of his album titles.

The Alabama rapper, who is signed to Lil Baby’s 4PF imprint, sat down for an interview with his label boss on Wednesday (July 12) for Complex‘s GOAT Talk series.

After asking Baby who he thinks the G.O.A.T. female rapper is, to which he sounded out the “greatest of all time” acronym and eventually answered Nicki Minaj, the penny finally dropped for Rylo.

“Damn, I ain’t even know G.O.A.T. meant greatest of all time,” he said after connecting the dots.

“You ain’t know that?” Lil Baby replied in shock, before laughing hysterically at his signee’s confession. “How the hell you ain’t know what G.O.A.T. means!”

“I swear to God I ain’t know that before,” Rylo responded. “I just thought you the goat … I used to always think that like, ‘What the hell’s a goat?’ Nah, I get it now. One day I was like, ‘Man, why you wanna be a goat?'”

Making Rylo Rodriguez’s confession all the more hilarious is the fact that he incorporated G.O.A.T. into the title of his 2020 album G.I.H.F., short for Goat In Human Form.

Unsurprisingly, Rylo took the term literally as the cover art featured an actual goat staring back at him in the reflection of a mirror.

The project’s alternate cover art took the misinterpretation one step further by depicting Rylo as a half-human, half-goat creature feeding a goat from his Styrofoam cup.

It wasn’t long before the clip began to circulate online, opening the floodgates of jokes poking fun at Rylo Rodriguez for his obtuseness.

“AINT NO WAY he called his last album G.I.H.F (Goat In Human Form) without knowing what GOAT stood for,” one stunned fan wrote on Twitter, while another joked: “Manz thought he was a centaur fr.”

Someone else said Rylo “might be the most slow rapper in the industry,” while another user chalked his gaffe down to “that Mobile Alabama educational system.”

Despite being the butt of the internet’s jokes, Rylo Rodriguez is fresh off another major milestone in his burgeoning career having just recently dropped his latest album Been One.

Boasting appearances from heavy-hitters like Lil Durk, EST Gee, Lil Yachty and, of course, Lil Baby, the project debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with almost 36,000 first-week sales, marking his highest-charting release so far.

Ironically, the album toyed with a literary device of its own as the first letter of each song on its tracklist spelled out the word SORRY FOUR THE DELAY, THX — which is known in poetry as an acrostic.
