Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg‘s just-released collaboration with Sting, “Another Part of Me,” features another notable name on backing vocals and in the songwriting credits: Russ.
The “Best on Earth” rapper shared the news via a post on X on Friday (November 29) upon the track’s release.
“Wrote and sang on the new Dre, Snoop & Sting song,” he wrote. “Life’s crazy.”

“Another Part of Me” was teased last month during a live episode of Drink Champs from ComplexCon in Las Vegas.
Dre and Snoop shared some snippets from their new LP Missionary, which is due out on December 13. Included in the snippets was “Another Part of Me,” which interpolates “Message In A Bottle” from Sting’s band The Police, and features the British rocker on guitar and bass.
Snoop then shared clips of the moment to Instagram, where the likes of LeBron James, Jamie Foxx, Travis Kelce and more hopped into the comments to react to what they heard.
“Crazy!!!!” Foxx wrote with fire emojis, while Kelce also shared fire emojis.
“LFG Unk!!” Bron wrote.
Serving as the belated 30th anniversary sequel to Snoop Dogg’s 1993 album Doggystyle, Missionary is produced entirely by Dr. Dre and marks the pair’s first full-length collaboration since Snoop’s aforementioned debut.
The release date was announced in October, accompanied by a hilarious trailer in which two Mormons knock on the door of a woman’s house, only to get the shock of their lives when she answers the door wearing sexy lingerie.
“What the fuck? Your ad said you were dedicated to missionary work!” she barks, clearly expecting something different to religious enlightenment.
Snoop and Dre have both set the bar high for Missionary, with Tha Doggfather calling it “masterful” in an interview earlier this year.
When you hear what we have and how he got me rapping, it’s like a grown Snoop Dogg,” he said on former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s All the Smoke podcast.
“It’s the way he selects his bars, it’s the way he uses his voice. [Dr. Dre] uses me like a fucking robot and I love it because I love to be produced. I love to be challenged.”
In addition to Sting, the 15-track Missionary will also include Eminem, 50 Cent, Method Man, Jelly Roll, Sting, Tom Petty, Jhené Aiko and BJ The Chicago Kid.
Well, it’s a terrible song and extremely disappointing. I was hoping for better than what they’ve released. Like cmon, NONE of the three singles are great. They all suck as a whole and won’t get any real play from anyone. Idk what happened to Dre, but his ear for sound has been destroyed. Snoop WITHOUT Dre sounds better than them together now!!! Can’t they give us something like “just dippin”? It’s an easy beat, easy style, but it’s dope. They’re trying way too hard and failing due to it. Besides, we don’t want pop sounding stuff from the duo. Even “gorgeous” sounded tough until the misplaced chorus comes in, which sounds like a love song. So a love song chrous mixed with a gangster rap song? Doesn’t work unless your 50 cent or Ja Rule in their primes lol.
Maybe your ears got so much brainwashed by these half man half gay new generation of rappers (with Drake being their leader) that you can’t recognize good music anymore. Any worst song released by Dr. Dre and Snoop is still better than any best song released by Future, Migos, Drake, Dababy, etc. FOH with your shitty tastes.
Dude, I hate newschool rap. I liked iendrick 09-2012, can’t even stomach his new music. Not a fan of virtually anyone who is considered popular these days. Yeah, Snoop is better than all those garbage artists you just mentioned. And eating a slice of little caesars pizza is still better than eating from a dumpster. I’m not brainwashed. I think you are, for trying to act like it’s good music when it sucks. All because other music sucks doesn’t make it good.
It’s not terrible.. it’s not great. It’s an ok song, especially from dudes who are nearly 60
Actually the guitar from the sample is played by Andy Summers from The Police. Not sure why it’s even marketed as a Sting feature.
I’m kinda sad he doesn’t have Tha Dogg Pound on the album. All those features and he left out Daz and Kurupt. It ain’t right
If you got any real business move on with your life. Dre been washed up a long time ago. It’s only going to be a matter of time before the culture cancel him like Diddy because he was out there doing the shit maybe worse.
Another song with no writing credits from Snoop 🤣👎🏽
I noticed that and Snoop doesn’t sound like himself on these songs. I think Snoop is making an album for his Martha Stewart fans. My expectations for this album are kind of low, but im still checking.
