Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre have previewed a few tracks off their forthcoming Missionary album to high praise, including their collaboration with Sting.
While appearing on a live episode of Drink Champs from ComplexCon in Las Vegas over the weekend, the iconic West Coast duo shared some snippets from the new LP, which is due out on December 13.
Snoop then shared clips of the moment to Instagram, where the likes of LeBron James, Jamie Foxx, Travis Kelce and more hopped into the comments to react to what they heard.
“Crazy!!!!” Foxx wrote with fire emojis, while Kelce also shared fire emojis.
“LFG Unk!!” Bron wrote.
While Sting’s voice isn’t heard in the preview, the song in the third slide interpolates “Message In A Bottle” from his band The Police, so it’s likely that’s their collab together. Based on the previously-released tracklist, the song is titled “Another Part Of Me.”
Serving as the belated 30th anniversary sequel to Snoop Dogg’s 1993 album Doggystyle, Missionary is produced entirely by Dr. Dre and marks the pair’s first full-length collaboration since Snoop’s aforementioned debut.
The release date was announced last month, accompanied by a hilarious trailer in which two Mormons knock on the door of a woman’s house, only to get the shock of their lives when she answers the door wearing sexy lingerie.
“What the fuck? Your ad said you were dedicated to missionary work!” she barks, clearly expecting something different to religious enlightenment.
Snoop and Dre have both set the bar high for Missionary, with Tha Doggfather calling it “masterful” in an interview earlier this year.
When you hear what we have and how he got me rapping, it’s like a grown Snoop Dogg,” he said on former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s All the Smoke podcast.
“It’s the way he selects his bars, it’s the way he uses his voice. [Dr. Dre] uses me like a fucking robot and I love it because I love to be produced. I love to be challenged.”
In addition to Sting, the 15-track Missionary will also include Eminem, 50 Cent, Method Man, Jelly Roll, Sting, Tom Petty, Jhené Aiko and BJ The Chicago Kid.
sting and the late tom petty will do wonders for your street credibility right when you are dr. dre or snoop dogg what your fans don’t want to hear is over the hill sting and tom petty from beyond the fucking grave!
These all sounds terrible. Dre has a bad ear for music these days. Also, first song been out for a year. Outta da blue. It’s not good at all. Sounds like two different songs mixed together by a 12 year old messing with fruity loops
the worst music produced by these OGs >>>>>>>>> the best music produced by the younger generation. So FOH with your bitch ass comment.
Lol, seriously, fire up that autotune mumble rap again.
@Calvine Broadus Be real, you buster azz dikridin cokgobbler. 2001 was Dre’s last gem and that was over 20 fukn years ago and Compton was dreadful and poorly mastered. And Snoop hasn’t put out a decent cohesive whole project since the Doggfather.
Again I’d pick Dre’s or Snoop’s worst album over your favorite mumblin bitch ass half-man half-gay rapper’s music anyway. FOH you fruitbowl vegan homo sensitive dork.
@sit down well duh, but comparing a mumble rapper to Dre or Snoop is like saying “sorry, but Led Zeppelin and Guns N Rose’s are far better than Machine Gun Kelly”. You’re comparing apples to oranges. All because this isn’t complete and utter garbage doesn’t mean it isn’t trash.
I’m becoming more-less motivated as i hear these songs drop. I think Snoop is trying to crossover, which he’s already done, but this seems like an even bigger crossover with all the features I’m seeing. SMH
The first track sounds rather derivative of “Without A Doubt” by The Roots (1996), “React” by Erick Sermon (2002), and “Pop Champagne” by Ron Browz (2008). To be fair, it’s also giving the slightest bit of “Addictive” by Truth Hurts (2002), which Dre himself produced, but that just makes it feel even more like reheated leftovers. OG’s aren’t supposed to sound like the younguns, but they’re still supposed to give us something new while also making us remember why we dug them in the first place. Admittedly not an easy task, but if you couldn’t pull it off, don’t hype it as such. I’m disappointed.
And speaking of 50 Cent in much more
relevant important news here’s a Fun Fact: The 47 year old broke bum azz freelancing gossiper Bernadett the GOOFY Giac0mazzo donned in her hilarious Target clothes once appeared in a 50 Cent music video for the song OJ for a grand total of 2 nanoseconds NEARLY 20 YEARS AGO and to this day laughably and beyond delusionally thinks her and 50 Cent are best buddies but here’s the reality of it…..50 Cent DOES NOT EVEN KNOW THE INSANELY DELUSIONAL BROKE AZZ B0 Z0 BERNADETT GIAC0MAZZO EVEN EXISTS JUST LIKE ALL THE REST OF HER OTHER CELEBRITY IMAGINARY FRIENDS 😭😭🤡🤡. EVERYBODY and they mama know that this barren old azz valueless hag Bernadett is a certified culture vulture fraud who has been FAKING, PRETENDING AND LYING ABOUT HER CREDENTIALS (SEE: ZERO CREDENTIALS) FOR TWO DECADES! Bernie G00fy spends her mornings wrltlng a bunch of irrelevant useIess junk that nobody ever reads on budget basement WOG and cellar dwelling RetailWire, her afternoons on the mean streets of Atlantlc Beach with a sign that says WILL BLOG A BUNCH OF BULLSHlT for some food stamps and her entire evenings drinking my plss and bath water. Yes, ladies n gents this is the luxurious life of Bernadett Giac0mazzo. Bernie knows damn well I OWN her and I would say dimming her light makes mine shine much brighter but as we all well know Barren Bernie G has NEVER had any light whatsoever to dim.
Bernie you’re a molehill but on Friday November 29th 2024 your day of reckoning imma make a whole mountain outta YOU ⚰💀⚰💀
Don’t let these athletes like Travis Kelce and Lebron James who are superior in their sports but have absolutely horrible ears for hip hop music gas you into thinking these songs and this album will be amazing. I guarantee you it won’t be anywhere near great. However, it will be just another disappointing af, heavily over rated, laughably over hyped, old ass washed up Dre joint. You can bet the farm on it 💯
Dre be throwing up them horns astagfirullah.
2001 is one of my favourite albums. Listening to this pile of boo boo really encapsulates the ear of today’s society except the ear is an arsehole and the music is the fecal matter.
