Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Russell Westbrook’s MVP-caliber year has just gotten a little more special.
He has just become the marquee athlete to promote the forthcoming Air Jordan XXX sneakers in a TV spot that will air during Super Bowl 50.
The song featured is Run the Jewels’ “Blockbuster Night Part 1” with scratches provided by Trackstar the DJ. It was a notable highlight on the duo’s 2014 self-titled sophomore album.
As Westbrook makes his grand entrance into the arena, he is accompanied by a pubescent, loud-mouthed kid who makes the claim “[Westbrook] hasn’t had a triple-double since yesterday.” In all reality, it isn’t much of a hyperbole. On February 4, WestWolf recorded his eighth of the TD of the season, (third in a consecutive; 27th of his career) as his Thunder beat the Orlando Magic with dagger-to-the-heart buzzer-beater.

isn’t that the kid who does the voice of Darwin from the Amazing world of Gumball?
Nice song…ugly ass shoes and Westbrook is garbage. Kevin durant would be a much better fit for da jordan brand then Westbrook.
