Rihanna has decided she is going to slay and serve her Navy at this year’s Met Gala by donning what’s rumored to be a $25 million outfit.
The pop star’s devoted fans already know that Mother — as she’s affectionately termed — feeds her babies every Met Gala with some of the most iconic outfits ever to grace the red carpet. And a source close to the “Stay” singer has told Page Six that Rihanna will continue the tradition of eating, and leaving no crumbs, when she struts her stuff tonight (May 1) in an outfit set to pay tribute to the legendary designer, Karl Lagerfeld.

The source told the outlet that Rihanna met with her team at 3 a.m. on Saturday (April 29) for her fitting, and the fitting included more than $25million in jewels from Cartier.
It seems like Rih will be giving a whole new meaning to the word “drip.”
The pop star — who is expecting her second child with rapper A$AP Rocky — has been a staple at the annual gala since 2007, and some of her looks have been downright iconic.

Back in 2017, Rihanna made Met Gala headlines when Kim Kardashian — who, at the time, was still married to Kanye West — shouted her out on Twitter.
“With the baddest Rih’s the definition of the Met!” she wrote at the time, tagging the pop star in her high praise.

The following year, Rih again won the evening when she donned a Pope-inspired get-up from Margiela. The theme of the Met Gala, that year, was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
In 2021, Rihanna hit the Met Gala red carpet with A$AP Rocky — who, at the time, had only just confirmed his relationship with the pop star — where he wore the infamous “quilt” jacket that became the subject of many a meme thereafter.
Looking to reclaim her title as Queen of the Met Gala, RiRi donned an enveloping black ruffle dress from Balenciaga accompanied by a matching beanie and stunning Bulgari diamonds. Rocky, meanwhile, arrived wrapped up in an unusual colorful quilt coat designed by ERL, which he later shed to reveal a more orthodox suit.
