Hip Hop legend Rick Rubin is hitting the lab with rock icons U2.
The two entities have created history on their own, but for the
rock group’s latest effort, they have enlisted the help of the
mastermind behind some of Hip-Hop’s greatest emcees, labels and groups.
Rubin, who has worked with and/or helped catapult the success of Run DMC, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Jay-Z and others has also worked with various rock groups.
He has produced for The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Slipknot, System of a Down, Johnny Cash and more. Furthermore, he has worked with other musicians ranging from Justin Timberlake and The Dixie Chicks.
Earlier this month, we reported that Rubin was also in the studio with Linkin Park. The rock/rap group, who also lists the producer as an
influence, is working on their next LP, which should drop by the end of this year or early next year.
