Rick Ross To Play Rapper Named ‘Dilemma’ Opposite Queen Latifah In ‘The Equalizer’ Episode

Thanks to Queen Latifah, Rick Ross is in his TV acting bag.

In an Instagram post on Friday (January 7), Rick Ross shared a clip of his recent interview with Elliott Wilson and B. Dot speaking about his experience filming scenes for an upcoming episode of the CBS crime drama The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah.

“I was just sitting down, I’m doing a scene with Queen Latifah,” he said in the clip. “She gave me a real opportunity, not just on some — some real lines I’m just tapping into this. And just her response to how I’m moving, she gave me a lot of credit for it and I’m just thinking as I walk away ‘Wow who could’ve imagined this,’ I didn’t recite no lines or read the script until that morning I’m on the set smoking a blunt.”

In addition to the interview clip, Rick Ross shared several snapshots of his cameo as the rapper Dilemma in the episode, which airs on January 9.

Not only was Queen Latifah impressed with the Maybach Music Group mogul’s acting chops, the show’s co-showrunners Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller also spoke highly of his work in the episode in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

The Equalizer family is very excited to have legendary rap artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross join us for this episode,” said Marlowe and Miller. “He is perfect in this role of a chart-topping hip-hop artist caught up in a world of violence. Ross knocks it out of the park.”

This isn’t the first time Rick Ross has finessed his way into a major production.

Last year, the Richer Than I Ever Been lyricist briefly appeared onscreen in Eddie Murphy’s Amazon-helmed Coming 2 America film, which was also shot primarily at Rick Ross’ 109-room Georgia estate.

    1. Wasn’t this fraud just trying to clown 50 Cents multiple successful TV shows and went as far as saying there’s no money in acting? After seeing those album sales there might be no money in music for Ross either. He was even shitting on Starz network even though he used to be on a Starz show called Magic City. And how the fuck you got a former prison guard playing an inmate? Fat boy caught his first case in his 30s after he was a famous rapper.

    2. Meek Mill made a song called 2pacs back when his boss was the brotha that woulda been searching 2Pacs crack at Clinton Correctional says:

Shouldn’t he be playing one of them Corrections officers? He must have felt so validated getting to pretend to be a criminal on some garbage ass tv show for 50 year old ladies after years of pretending to be a criminal in all his raps. When the reality is he was the guy strip searching inmates butth0les.

    3. I think Rick Ross would be amazing on the show with Queen Latifah, I’ve could’ve been so proud of them both for making fans so happy including myself cuz I’ve already seen the show I think it’s amazing and I’ve been to the place where it was filmed I went there when I was three years old and I’ve also been to Newark the place where Queen was born
