Ray J Contemplates Suicide In Concerning Post Following Altercation With Zeus CEO

Ray J has concerned fans after expressing suicidal thoughts following an altercation with Zeus CEO Lemuel Plummer at a BET Awards afterparty.

The “One Wish” singer was filmed throwing punches at Plummer before they were eventually separated. It is not known what caused the altercation.

Shortly after the incident, Ray J went on Instagram and in an emotional post spoke about his mental health.

“I’m really at a breakin point!” he began. “To provide for my family and have generational wealth was always the plan. But money is evil and people are bad and I can’t take it anymore! These chain of reactions are stemming from being locked in a false reality / confused about this whole life!”

The singer/reality star continued: “The shit that happened tonight to me at the awards today was hurtful. I’m working backstage and then I go take a break in the back and BET wouldn’t let me back in for some reason. I don’t know who they didn’t want me to see. It was weird.

“Anyway, I left and went back to silence my frustrations, flashing back to my everyday thought of my life. The truth that’s given is a LIE!”

Ray J then said: “I’m on my way out of the country. The shit that is happening is mind-blowing. It’s making me suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality! THEY PAID ME TO SHUT UP AND I DID! I FEEL BAD AND I HATE MYSELF FOR IT! I DON’T WANT ANYMORE OF YOUR DIRTY MONEY!!”

The 43-year-old also hinted that he had attempted suicide before: “I tried to do it for real last time – I’m sorry to myself and my sister – sorry Bran – I will make it right. I won’t let them get away with it! I told the people close to me that I felt like something is about to happen. Fuck it. I said it.”

Ray J has since been posting about subscribing to his Tronix Network but has not commented on his post or the incident at the BET Awards. His sister Brandy has also yet to comment on her brother’s post about suicide.

The California native previously expressed suicidal thoughts in 2022 when he posted a series of cryptic videos talking about jumping to his death.

According to TMZ, the concerning posts were made after the singer had been drinking and were taken down at the urging of his then-wife Princess Love.

A source told the publication that Ray J was merely “messing around” and did not require medical assistance.

    2. RayJ is now and forever will be an attention needy individual. He enjoys being the focus and is selfish for attention.wakeup people.

    3. People that really want that smoke don’t wait for others to get in between before you set it off looks like another attention grab

    4. Ray J really has a problem. It’s time for his friends to do an intervention he needs help and I don’t want to be reading about his suicide in the future. I’m not even sure who he is because I don’t listen to rap music but I still don’t want to see anyone commit suicide. I’ve had two suicides in my family and if I had a warning like that I wouldn’t have had 2 suicides. If you are his real friends you should sign him in to a hospital whether it’s with his approval or if you have to 302 him. He can only get mad if he’s still alive and that’s what you want anyway I’d rather have my friend alive and mad at me than dead because eventually they will forgive you and appreciate what a great friend you were
