Rap Release Dates: Blu, Maino, Bronze Nazareth, Glasses Malone

August started off with a bang thanks to Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne, but things cool off a bit before the end of August gets ignited with Game’s The R.E.D. Album, Pusha T’s EP Fear Of God 2: Let Us Pray, and Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV. This week, La Coka Nostra’s own Slaine will deliver A World With No Skies 2.0, a follow-up to last year’s A World With No Skies, an album released in promo form before being super-charged into this 2.0 format. Recently, Slaine dropped the Statik Selektah-collaborative mixtape “State of Grace” , but also leaked a Statik track “Night After Night” off the upcoming album.

Foreign Exchange affiliate Median drops the sophomore album The Sender this week also, with the title track produced by 9th Wonder. In addition, Slim Thug’s Boss Hogg Outlawz deliver the thrice delayed Serve and Collect Part 3.

Next week Jayceon Taylor gets his Game face on with The R.E.D. Album. Last week’s leak of the DJ Premier-produced “Born In the Trap” heightened the anticipation, along with an album sampler making its rounds. In the world of more leaks, Lil Wayne offered up a new track off Tha Carter IV, “She Will” with Drake and not even a day later Rick Ross came through on the remix . Tha Carter IV tracklist was recently revealed, boasting collaborations with Nas, Bun B, Tech N9ne, Jadakiss, and the aforementioned Drake, who will be working with Wayne on a collaborative album soon.

The final week of August offers big releases from mid-level emcees like Blu’s J E S U S, Glasses Malone’s Beach Cruiser, and Smoke DZA’s Rolling Stoned, with a tracklist including Curren$y, Kendrick Lamar, and Big K.R.I.T., whose album Live From the Underground drops September 27th. New additions to the Fall include Cam’ron and Vado’s retail mixtape Boss Of All Bosses 3 on October 5th, Melanie Fiona’s The MF Life on October 25th, and Wale’s Ambition on November 1st.
