Rap Release Dates: 2 Chainz, Waka Flocka Flame, No Malice, Freddie Gibbs

    The announcing of album release dates for the summer are becoming more frequent as the season nears.

    To follow up his solo debut of Based On A T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz announced on Friday the release date of his second studio album. The project is still without a name, however the Atlanta, Georgia-based rapper tweeted that fans can circle September 10 on their calendars.

    Waka Flocka Flame recently announced the release date of his next album. A follow up to his popular first album, Flockaveli 2 will release on October 5. Waka recently took to Twitter to announce the news.

    North Carolina’s J. Cole told Billboard recently that he wanted to move the release date of his Born Sinner album to June 18 in order to compete with Kanye West’s release of Yeezus. The previous date was June 25.

    No Malice will release his debut solo album next month. In speaking to Hip Hop Since 1987 the Virginia rapper said that his latest project is his “best work ever.” Entitled Hear Ye Him, The Clipse member announced recently his album is set to drop on July 2.

    Freddie Gibbs confirmed that his next album ESGN is slated for release in July. The Gary, Indiana emcee announced the news via Twitter
