HipHopDX is honored to announce that Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon will be covering this weekend’s BET Awards. The acclaimed Staten Island lyricist will be filming several pieces of footage that may include backstage interviews, video diaries and glimpses of this weekend’s Los Angeles event, and all the parties and gala that surround it.
In addition to this weekend’s festivities, the Chef is reportedly nearing completion with his Shaolin vs. The Wu-Tang next solo album. Released through his own H20 Water/EMI imprint, the 17-year Rap veteran will show both sides of his personality and distinct voice in the Hip Hop culture. Last year, Raekwon released Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Pt. II, which was named HipHopDX’s Album Of The Year for 2009, before making Wu-Massacre with Ghostface Killah and Method Man earlier this year. Next month, he will executive produce Capone-N-Noreaga’s The War Report 2, which features Rae on three songs.
Stay tuned to HipHopDX for updates. Fans are asked to comment on the types of content they wish to see, per the Chef’s request.

wu tang needs a fresh comeup.
Is you serious? Or in a coma for all of last year?
what albums did wu drop that were dope?
raes ob4cl was nice yes,,, but that wu massacre was lammmme, 4 good songs? heard it was rushed but very weak.every interview i saw with wu ppls were sad, and depressing,,, literally everyone,,,,im a wu fan,, just saying they are making the movement look bad. something needs to happen to take them uphill… cause the basis of last yr as a whole for them was not impressive,, considering how much they were in the news,
what about chamber music, or blackout 2, or ghost’s album (not his best, but still dope), or even cappa and uey’s albums? shit, what about cocainism this year? you’re dead wrong homie
Almighty, 60 Sec, Deck, That Pollen joint… Killah Priest’s 3 Day Theory…. Ther’es plenty bangin’ ass Wu music. You just ain’t checkin’ for it, and then claim it’s not there.
Most of the time, Wu-Tang is all I checks for.
Plus, wait till the Almighty 2 and Bronze Nazareth joints pop off.
YEA MY NIGGA RAE! YO GOOD SHIT TRY TO GET A WU TANG PERFORMANCE UP THERE YALL DESERVE IT!!! IF POSSIBLE!
Nuc, I am sorry that you were to look past the fact that we didn’t have 36 Chambers or Liquid Swords part 2 come out as well last year. Wu will never(and yes I am saying NEVER) be the same as they were when they had that run in 93-97. No one will ever be able to do that, because what they did in that time frame was simply amazing. That does not mean that everything else they release from that is wack, just because it isn’t AS GOOD as some of their old stuff. Muhammad Ali was never the same after they revoked his license in his prime. He still went on to win the title and was still THE GOAT! Wu is still the greatest conglomerate of artists to ever grace this earth. The music they drop is still dope, and in the past 2yrs, since 8Diagrams(that joint was ass, period) has been dope and you know it. Its not the same, but dope is dope, and that ish was dope(CL2, Massacre, Almighty, Wisemen, Wizard of Poetry, Blackout 2)
