R. Kelly Out Of Jail Because Someone Paid His $161K In Back Child Support

    R. Kelly is a free man once again. After being taken into custody on Wednesday (March 6) for unpaid child support, the disgraced R&B star walked out of Cook County Jail on Saturday morning (March 9).

According to CBS News, an unidentified person paid the $161,633 in back child support. Cook County sheriff’s spokeswoman Sophia Ansari said she didn’t know who made the payment.

As he was leaving, Kelly said, “I promise we’re gonna straighten all this out. That’s all I can say right now. I love my fans.”

This is the second time in two weeks Kelly has been behind bars. Last month, he turned himself in to Cook County authorities following a 10-count felony indictment on charges of aggravated sexual abuse. He wasn’t able to come up with the $100,000 he needed to post bail. Consequently, a business owner by the name of Valencia Patrice Love reportedly put up the money.

During Kelly’s dramatic interview with CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King earlier this week, he claimed he only had $350,000 left in his bank account.

“So many people have been stealing my money, people was connected to my account,” he said. “I went by myself for the first time to the Bank of America. Didn’t know what I was doing. Didn’t know what the hell was going on … I was so tired of not knowing where my money was, what my publishing is … a lot of it’s on me.

“I have like $350,000 in the bank and I told her, take that and I wanna start a new account. She said it’s gonna take six to seven days to clear.”

Kelly’s legal woes are far from over. He’ll be expected back in court soon.

    R. Kelly is reportedly heading back to jail — but this time, it has nothing to do with the criminal sexual abuse allegations that landed him behind bars late last month.

According to The Blast, the embattled R&B star was taken into custody for failing to pay child support on Wednesday afternoon (March 6) and is on his way to Cook County Jail. Kelly allegedly owes $161,633 in child support to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly for their three children: Jay, Joann and Robert Kelly Jr.

Kelly was given until Wednesday’s court hearing to pay up or face an arrest warrant. Evidently, he failed to make any payments.

Valenica Love, the woman who posted Kelly’s $100,000 bond last month, has reportedly been subpoenaed and was present in court to discuss the payment, although her lawyer said she was there for an unrelated case.

Kelly’s arrest comes in the wake of his damning interview with CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King. The network aired his emotionally-charged interview on Wednesday morning. Part 2 will air on Thursday (March 7).

Although Kelly’s publicist Darryll Johnson says he came to the hearing prepared to pay $50,000 to $60,000, the judge wanted the full amount. The veteran singer will have to come up with the $161,633 to get out of jail.

    1. R.Kelly will be ok no worries. If he does serve time he won’t be touched. He claims and runs with 63rd and Kingston Folks and 6point star and divide out of Chicago. Keep ya head up KinFolk. He’ll beat the cases

    2. Dayuuummmm you f*cked up R….You going back to jail where them booty bandits are waiting to Bump and Grind with you. Chomos are still hated regardless of money… unless you’re white….Roman Polanski and Woody Allen, Jerry Lewis, etc

    3. Funny all of a sudden this comes up as soon as he posted bail last week. They want in him jail for anything legally possible. I feel bad for him. He needed help years ago for his issues. Industry peers and black community failed him. And is failing now to support him about his mental issues. All they care about is money. Child support is a whole other issue. Surely no kid needs $20k a month. Minimum wage at 30 hrs a week would be fair.

      1. “ I feel bad for him. He needed help years ago for his issues. Industry peers and black community failed him. And is failing now to support him about his mental issues”……..Listen to you trying to make him out to be some kind of victim in all of this? Smfh, wtf is you talking about?? He’s a grown man who made conscious choices to mess with kids over the years. And the fact that he didn’t learn his lesson from the first time, second time etc. shows that he’s prolific and real danger to you girls. Save your fake sympathy for someone else…it’s pathetic.

    4. …. Why are white ppl never used 4 child support??? how fuckn unfair america is. Lets support big R.

      1. Used for child support? Hahahahaha. Wow. Maybe because white people actually take care of the kids they make.

      2. You want white people to pay for child support of other people’s kids?

Do you want the same for black people?

      3. Maybe it’s because white fathers actually stick around and support the families they help create? I don’t know, just a thought! Lol but, no, it’s ever asked to blame the government for morons boning anything that walks without protection.

    5. Hopefully, R. Kels Jr. got the same kind of talent. Got to keep the hits coming. Free Kels.

    6. I WAS GOING CRAAAAAAZZZY ,
      “IN THE GHETTO”
DIDN’T KNOW WHAT MY LYFEE WIL B
      “IN THE GHETTO”
      …..

    7. Goes to show you. This ‘superstar’ who had mutilple platinum songs. Can’t come up with less than $200k.

Artists rarely make tangible money. It’s all a front.

      1. Doubt that’s his problem. He’s produced more than he’s performed and for way bigger people than him like Celine Dione and Michael Jackson in his prime, so he got paid. The producers are always the ones making the real money. He just mismanaged it.

    8. DX, y’all have the nastiest comment section on the internet. Just get rid of commenting altogether. Nothing profound or beneficial to anyone has ever come out of a comment section, and on this site it’s particularly depressing

    9. he needs to accept that he´s going to jail for Aaliyah and that video …even if all of these girls are lying ,the world wants him gone
They put out a doc and suddenly they started investigation again
He does an interview and suddenly they remembered that he wasnt paying child support

      He´s done

    10. Wow… For child support tho? That’s crazy, what if he really doesn’t have it? This system is all fucked up

      1. @fuckchildsupport, Is the system fucked up for making deadbeats pay for heir kids? OR are these idiots having kids with just about any THOT the ones who are fucked up? You can’t feed them, don’t breed them. It’s called Manning Up!

        1. What’s fucked up is the amount these well off people have to pay in alimony and child support.

      2. He doesn’t have it cuz he’s been ducking it for years and it adds up on you, he didn’t just accumulate 160 grand in child support overnight that’s years of neglect & last time I checked if you got 350,000 in your account that’s enough to pay a 160,000 bill. This system ain’t fucked up for making Father’s follow through on there commitment to provide for there children.

    11. I am not a religious man and that is the matter for any other religion personally, but Robert is in my thoughts and this does not have to end with a 10-20 year jail sentence. I don’t know enough of the justice system in the united states to know whether they have something called restorative justice. they meet together in a little room which belongs to the justice department or what ever and talk it over. Robert didn’t have to have sex slaves and hey they were adults too but we are talking about a man who could have any woman he wanted.

      1. You assume he didn’t have to. Oh what with all the fame and all that right? But then he DID. He has a propensity for young girls. He has SAID so himself. He married an underage Aliyaah. These are irrefutable facts he has admitted himself. Consult your god or whatever, but this guy does not deserve your warm regards.

    12. Aye dude got them hoes…they keeping him out of jail and everything. Kinda funny at this point cause they can’t keep him in jail

    13. Amerikkka Pee’d On Robert Kelly first, never forget that. If we let R.Kelly be offered as a sacrifice by this most unholy synagogue of satan call Amerikkka rest assured my brothers Amerikkka will pee on all of us next.

    14. Ignition, I Believe I Can Fly, Your Body’s Calling, U Saved Me, When a Woman Loves, Religious Love, Thank God It’s Friday, Happy People, Trapped in the Closet, When a Woman’s Fed Up, Down Low

      1. And in all those songs, he was singing about 13 year old girls…. he’s got serious issues and needs help. Yes he is talented but it’s still wrong.
