Quando Rondo Facing 20 Years In Prison As New Drug Arrest Details Emerge

Quando Rondo is facing up to two decades in prison after being charged with federal drug crimes.

The rapper was already facing state gang and drugs charges in George over a separate arrest earlier this year.

The 24-year-old was arrested in his hometown of Savannah on Saturday (December 9) and according to the unsealed federal indictment, he has been charged with conspiring with others to possess and distribute drugs including methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine and marijuana.

The charge carries a sentence of up to 20 years behind bars.

Rondo has been charged on 14 counts in total including possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery.

He is also accused of being part of a drug trafficking ring from 2021 and is currently being held in a federal facility in Brunswick. He has yet to be granted bail.

Quando Rondo was previously arrested in June and charged with two counts of conspiracy to violate Georgia’s controlled substances law, one count of participating in criminal activity affiliated with a street gang, and one count of illegal use of a cell phone to facilitate a drug deal.

The rapper has been involved in a myriad of legal issues since his rise to fame in 2018.

In 2020, he and his crew were involved in an altercation with King Von and members of his crew outside an Atlanta nightclub that resulted in Von being shot to death.

Rondo has repeatedly stated that he and his crew were acting in self-defense and has publicly supported Lul Timm, who was charged with Von’s murder before the case was dropped earlier this year.

Rondo was involved in another shooting in 2022 and while he escaped unharmed, his friend Lul Pab was killed.

At the time, he released a statement which said: “Quando was involved in a shooting yesterday evening [Friday] which resulted in the untimely death of another’s young man’s life; he himself didn’t sustain any injuries during the shooting and is safe.”

Rondo and his entourage were at a gas station when a car pulled alongside them and opened fire, killing Lul Pab. Video footage of the aftermath of the incident, where Rondo could be seen to be in visible distress, was later broadcast on news channels.
