As of recently, rapper and Tribe Called Quest member Q-Tip [click to read] has spoken out quite frequently via his Twitter page about New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg’s attempts at re-election for a third term.
Recently, Q-Tip [click to read] spoke to Newsday.com regarding Bloomberg and his thoughts on the mayor’s potential re-election.
“His viewpoint of New York City is from his East Side town house…his occasional jaunt to a neighborhood is when he has to go for political substance or [to] quell anger in a neighborhood,” Q-Tip told Newsday.
In past Tweets, Q-Tip [click to read] has referred to Mayor Bloomberg as being “way out of touch” with the residents of New York City.
“NYC don’t let Bloomberg turn the city into the office for rich folk and kick out the middle class/poor folks,” Q-Tip told New Yorker’s a few days ago in a Tweet.
Although Q-Tip may not necessarily agree with the majority of Bloomberg’s policies he did reveal that he does not “hate” the mayor, but simply disagrees “with the way he is dealing with the city that I love.”
