There are a lot of artists that have fans for years without ever dropping a solo LP. Bay area emcee Planet Asia is near the top of that list. He has released two EP’s and the Cali Agents LP with Rasco, not to mention countless guest appearances and some incredible 12”s. Planet Asia is now signed to Interscope Records and we await his debut LP, “Life As It Is.”
For now we will have to make due with a reunion album with his original crew. The Shkool Yard crew, which is a collection of Asia, Kubiq, Shake and Supa Supreme have completed an EP called “A New Way Of Thinking.” The album will feature 8 new tracks as well as an instrumental for each. Beats were provided by Joey Chavez, Protest and Kutmasta Kurt, who will also release the album via his Threshold Records. Here is the tracklisting:
