“Me and Nipsey was just about to work together before he passed. Never told that story!” Papoose began the post’s caption.
“My bro @mrluckylefty1 made the connection. Had to tap in with @blaccsamlove while In Cali to get some of that @themarathonclothing He laced me!!! Peace to @bigboy for connecting me to Sam. #rip to the legend!! @tunecore “Head OF HIP HOP.”
In the wake of Nipsey’s death, the Hip Hop community was left shattered. The Victory Lap rapper was shot and killed in front of his Los Angeles Marathon Clothing store in the spring of 2019. He was 33 years old.
In other Papoose news, the New York rapper —who’s been in the game nearly two decades — shared in a recent interview what he believes is the “hardest” verse of all time.

Speaking to Joe Budden, Pap declared Kool G Rap’s 1995 track “Take Em To War” the toughest rap he’s ever heard.
“[Kool] G Rap wrote the hardest verse I ever heard in my life to this day. It was on ‘Take Em to War.’ I never heard a harder verse in my entire life to this day,” Papoose told Joe.
He continued: “To this day, hardest verse every [and] I’ll argue anybody down. They can spit what they think is hard, and I will spit that shit word-for-word.”
Like Joe Budden, Papoose has decided to make a career switch. In Janurary, he was appointed the Head of Hip Hop at TuneCore.
