Los Angeles, CA – News of Nipsey Hussle’s unexpected shooting death is rippling across the Hip Hop community. The Victory Lap architect was gunned down in front of his Los Angeles clothing store on Sunday afternoon (March 31).
He was reportedly hit at least six times. In a disturbing video captured of the aftermath, Nipsey appears to have a bullet wound in his head while emergency responders are delivering CPR. Although his condition was unknown shortly after the incident, he was ultimately pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Hip Hop, of course, is shattered by the turn of events and many of his fellow artists have taken to social media to express their shock, anger and sorrow.

Fuck. My whole energy is just at a low right now hearing this. We just linked for the first time in years and said we were gonna do a new song this summer cause it had been too long. You were having the best run and I was so happy watching from distance fam nobody ever talks down on your name you were a real one to your people and to the rest of us. I’m only doing this here cause I want the world to know I saw you as a man of respect and a don. Rest easy my g.

When I heard the news about @NipseyHussle I hollered, & wailed like a mother losing her son to gun violence, that's how I felt like I had lost my son. I had met him when he was a young man so wise beyond his years, with a plan so righteous foretelling of the man he would become. pic.twitter.com/LOzsM20Ce4
