This week’s New Music Friday showers us with plenty of audio gifts for Valetine’s Day, but not everybody is in the romantic mood, it seems.
Currently embroiled in a messy divorce with Cardi B, Offset appears to take shots at his estranged wife on his new song “Ten,” the title of which refers to the number of men she apparently needs to sleep with to get over him.
Jack Harlow also cooks up an anti-Valentine’s Day anthem with “Set You Free” as he musters the courage to walk away from a relationship in favor of that bachelor freedom, while Young M.A and Yung Bleu mourn what could have been on Druski‘s latest foray into music.
It’s not all doom and gloom, though. Injecting some passion into Cupid’s holiday, DaBaby and Yung Miami join forces on the flirtatious “Ima Hoe Too,” while British stars AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith play on-wax lovers on the garage-flavored “Crush.”
Elsewhere, the happily-married Gucci Mane proves he still has that dog in him by declaring that he has no “Preference” when it comes to women, money and cars, and Daniel Caesar teams up with Rex Orange County for a double dose of Valentine’s Day tenderness.
