New Music Friday: New Singles From Playboi Carti, Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre, André 3000 & More

New Music Friday is a busy one this week with just about every corner of the wide spectrum that is 2024 Hip Hop covered.

At the top of the list is Playboi Carti, who drops yet more heat exclusively through Instagram, while if you like your Hip Hop a little more conventional, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre serve up another song from Missionary ahead of its release next month.

André 3000 also continues to explore spiritual jazz with a trio of new flute songs, while Jack Harlow flirts with yet another new sound on his first single of the year.

There are also new cuts from a couple of wily old veterans such as Lupe Fiasco and French Montana, while younger stars Coi Leray, Lil Tjay and BossMan Dlow refuse to be left behind.

Check out the best of New Music Friday below and don’t miss this week’s new albums from Ice Cube, Nicki Minaj and Boldy James and Harry Fraud, among others.

    Playboi Carti — “PLAY THIS”

Produced By: Roark Bailey & V-Ron

The latest audio teaser ahead of his long-awaited album I AM MUSIC, “Play This” continues Carti’s prolific 2024 but it is not known if the short song will make the final cut.

Snoop Dogg & Dr. Dre feat. Alus — “Outta Da Blue”

Produced By: Dr. Dre, Dem Jointz, BoogzDaBeast & FNZ

Madden 25 players would have gotten to hear this one a little while ago, but now the rest of the world can hear Dre step away from his polished West Coast sound and experiment with more jittery production that samples the drums from Schoolly D’s 1980s classic “Saturday Night.”

André 3000 — “Moving Day” + “Day Moving” + “Tunnels of Egypt”

Produced By: André 3000 & Carlos Niño

André 3000 recently promised fans that new music was on the way, but nobody could have guessed it would come this quickly. Shame it’s still him playing around with his flute.

Jack Harlow — “Hello Miss Johnson”

Produced By: Clay Harlow, aksel arvid, Angel “BabeTruth” Lopez & Don Cannon

Missionary Jack follows up his Billboard Hot 100 number one hit “Lovin On Me” with another certified lover boy anthem that flirts with Brazilian bossa nova.

French Montana — “One More Chance”

    Produced By: Fourtee & Msry

Not long after sharing a festival stage with accused rapist and self-proclaimed misogynist Andrew Tate, French Montana has delivered a more thoughtful cut than anyone would have expected in support of his documentary For Khadija.

Lupe Fiasco — “Pound For Pound”

    Produced By: Soundtrakk

The Samurai MC is renowned for his martial arts practice outside of the studio, but this latest cut finds him stepping into the boxing ring in support of the beat ’em up video game Undisputed.

Coi Leray — “Heart Don’t Lie” + “Candy Crush”

Produced By: Johnny Goldstein | Truebeatzz & thr6x

    Produced By: Jahnei Clarke
