New Music Friday: New Albums From Drake & PARTYNEXTDOOR, Westside Gunn, Coi Leray & More

Valentine’s Day comes bearing gifts this New Music Friday, and at the top of the pile is an album made with lovers in mind: Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.

The 21-track project features plenty of sultry (and slightly toxic) late-night R&B from the OVO Sound duo, who have built up quite the creative chemistry over the last decade. It’s also laced with a few subliminal jabs aimed at the 6 God’s various enemiesKendrick Lamar and Joe Budden included.

For those nursing a broken heart on Valentine’s Day, Coi Leray comes through with a new quickire EP called What Happened to Forever?, seemingly inspired by her relationship woes with soon-to-be-baby daddy (and alleged cheater) Trippie Redd. It also marks her first release on Epic Records.

Switching lanes, Westside Gunn extends his prolific streak with 12, his third project in the last six months and the latest installment in his flagship Hitler Wears Hermes series. No Benny The Butcher and Conway The Machine features on this one, but Griselda’s secret weapons, Stove God Cooks and Estee Nack, get plenty of shine alongside the Fly God.

Fellow New Yorker A$AP Twelvyy also returns with a new album, fresh off testifying in A$AP Rocky’s shooting trial, while Yung Bleu captures all of the ups and downs of love on his latest project What Makes Us Human.

Further highlighting the variety that modern Hip Hop and R&B has to offer, there are also new releases this week from OhGeesy, Jacquees and DeJ Loaf, Capella Grey, P-Lo, Black Milk and more.

    1. Don’t know bout the rest but Drake sounded horrible easy pass on that. How is this guy even a platinum selling artist? Zionist just pushing their own.

    2. Also Kool Keith – Galaxy Thot, Mickey Avalon & Rove – Postcards From Hell. Plus last week you ‘forgot’ Phill Most Chill & Djar One – Deal with it, ZelooperZ & Real Bad Man – Dear Psilocybin, Andre Nickatina & Reign.
