There may be no major rap album this week, but there’s still plenty of great music worth checking out in this week’s New Music Friday.
Ludacris, who hasn’t released an album in over a decade, returns with a playful new single called “Pull Over” which boasts some trunk-rattling production from fellow Southern rap legend DJ Toomp.
Luda’s former Disturbing Tha Peace signee 2 Chainz is also in the mix with a grown ‘n’ sexy feature on fellow ATLien 6LACK‘s silky new track “Sunday Again,” taken from his upcoming album Love is the New Gangsta (out May 22).
There are also heavyweight collabs from Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) and Pete Rock; Stove God Cooks and Conductor Williams; Blu, Exile, Black Thought and Mach-Hommy; Jay Worthy and 9th Wonder; and former Bad Boy labelmates Black Rob (RIP) and G. Dep, who are teaming up for a joint album called Black & Depper.
On the projects front, Sexyy Red serves up more trap-flavored, twerk-friendly anthems on Your Favorite Trappa Favorite Rappa, Tony Yayo supplies your smokers’ holiday soundtrack with The 4:20 Tape, and rising Atlanta rappers Tezzus and diamond* get Young Thug‘s blessing on their collab effort UY SCUTI BΓYZ — a nod to Thugger’s own 2025 album.

Are yβall going to post the story about Tory Lanez begging for money?π
Roc Nation bot get out. Sooner Jay and Bey go to jail the better.
Nobody told Lanez to get drunk and start playing with guns.πππ
Iβm still listening to the new Joyner Lucas album from last week π₯
Trash!
Boy fell off needed YoungBoy to even be relevant. He’s another modern corny rapper like all those types massive hypocrites like Eminem or Kendrick that contradict their songs.
Sexyy red looks so good
Fakemink is a weirdo hanging with Hunter Biden the laptop dude that hooked up with his sister in law and niece like father like son.
