Nas, LL and Others Give Money Tips

Looking for financial advice? Some of rap’s biggest names came together in Manhattan to dish out tips to those in need of help. With so many of today’s emcees gaining dollar bill stacks upon stacks, it’s only natural for them to give fans a little knowledge on how to obtain money.

LL Cool J who is currently getting spins for his J. Lo assisted single, had this to tell listeners.

“The first thing I do is give 10 percent to God, just to keep my windows open…The bottom line is give 10 percent to the church, give 10 percent to your house. That’s a good start,” the self proclaimed GOAT explained at the Hip Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment, which was put together by Russell Simmons.

“The biggest misconception probably comes from the Hip Hop community itself … that the money last forever,” he added according to Newsday.

Another rapper who made an appearence at the Summit was Nas. The emcee spoke up about what he feels needs to be done in the future.

“It’s time that we do something to educate our kids,” he continued. “We’ve got to think about our future, think about tomorrow. It’s beyond the corner, it’s beyond the jails. We’ve got to think about growing old in this game.”

Others who made appearences were Alicia Keys, T.I. and Fabolous.

In related news, Russell Simmons recently announced his divorce from model/Baby Phat head Kimora Lee. Their marriage lasted 7 years.
