Earlier this month, during an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, N.O.R.E. detailed his recent falling out with former group member Capone. The New York City rapper explained that he took offense after being stood up at a show in Queensbridge, New York.
During a chat with GoodFellaMedia this week, N.O.R.E. elaborated on the situation, explaining that his friendship with Capone was only deteriorating further. “We’re done now. I don’t think it’s really for the public, but I don’t know, it’s just time to move on man,” he said. “I think that’s the safest way to do it. Right now the friendship is in the danger because of a certain move that was done where he was supposed to stand by me and it didn’t happen.”
Despite the current tension, however, N.O.R.E. added that Capone still has a chance to remedy the situation by taking the right approach. “Capone is my brother and eventually he’s gonna have to fix the relationship but he can’t do it through text,” he said. “When you fuck up, like how he fucked up just now, you can’t text me with that.
“He didn’t call me to say he couldn’t make it, he didn’t call me to say ‘how was it?’… He just didn’t call me. And I feel as a brother, you were supposed to stand next to me in Queensbridge.” N.O.R.E. has explained that the incident was particularly upsetting since his prior beefs in Queensbridge were all on behalf of Capone, during their reign as Capone-N-Noreaga.
