Mustard has served up proof that longtime OVO producer Boi-1da had love for Kendrick Lamar‘s Drake diss track “Not Like Us”.

Things kicked off between the pair after Boi-1da appeared to remark that “West Coast rap is ass,” with the Canadian beatmaker also commenting “Nobody outside LA wanna hear that shit.”

LA native, Mustard, took issue with the remark, writing on Instagram “Say it ain’t so man.”

The “Not Like Us” producer then proceeded to share a number of screenshots from an apparent conversation he had with his contemporary over Instagram.

One of the screenshots showed Boi-1da calling saying of “Not Like Us”: “Good shit. Beat hard af.”

Mustard wrote over the screenshot: “You said you liked ‘Not Like Us’ @boi1da. Welp there’s enough yellow tape to go around.”

Boi-1da and Drake have yet to respond to Mustard’s posts.

The acclaimed West Coast hitmaker has recently been on something of a victory lap following the success of Kendrick Lamar’s GNX which features a number of tracks with contributions from Mustard including “TV Off” which landed at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song also features a viral line from Lamar where he shouts “Mustard” at the top of his lungs.

Mustard revealed his reaction to the line in an interview with Billboard, saying: “That shit was elite. So fire. Like, is that a new tag? I can’t wait to perform that song and just hear people just saying that, ’cause everybody’s going to say that like crazy.”

He has also been vocal about having his own issues with Drake.

He said to the Los Angeles Times: “I don’t think I want to make a song with that dude. He’s a strange guy.”

Conversely, Mustard had nothing but praise for Kendrick Lamar: “He’s just a genius. He does the unthinkable every time. And on a human level, just as a normal person, I like his style.

“His whole mystique gives me the same vibes as Prince. Even now [after the success of ‘Not Like Us’], the guy has not posted anything. I told him, ‘I don’t know how you do that shit.’ Me, I’d be like, ‘Yeah, I’m no. 1!’”
