Mulatto Defends Her Live Performance Bag With Ice Cold Tweets

Mulatto clapped back at Twitter criticism regarding her accepting live appearance bookings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

After her name was mentioned as a “D-list celebrity” having to take gigs to make money, the RCA Records artist responded by proudly defending her decision on Monday (August 24).

“Yeah hoe ask what it took to get me out the house too!” she wrote. “I’m 21 & I take care of my whole family we sending money to 5 different states fuck yeah im still collecting mines.”

Mulatto’s post was in response to a tweet by Affinity Magazine’s Evelyn Woodsen, who was reacting to a comment made by Twitter user @jsanchezcomedy.

He originally wrote, “These ‘celebrities’ must need a stimulus check too otherwise they wouldn’t still be doing paid club appearances during a pandemic.”

Woodsen opined, “I think they’re struggling cause concerts and appearance is how the D list celebrities make money. Just saw Mulatto and Money Bag at a whole concert.. during a pandemic smh.”

    1. Quick question: as a white male in 2020 am I allowed to say her name? People bug out over everything so how does that apply to when a racial term (sometimes seen as a slur) is actually the person’s name.

      1. Her name is not even a racial slur. She is mixed. Mulatto is fitting. Why wouldn’t you be able to say it?
