MGK Thanks Fans For Propelling “Rap Devil” Eminem Diss To Top Of iTunes

While Machine Gun Kelly awaits Eminem’s (inevitable) response to his “Rap Devil” diss track, it appears the Cleveland MC has nabbed the top spot of the iTunes US chart.

“I wanted to thank y’all for the number 1 this morning … y’all killed it,” he said via Instagram video, adding WTF in the caption.

MGK also performed the song live to a crowd in Grand Rapids, Michigan over the weekend, noting this wasn’t a battle between Ohio and Michigan. Rather, it was “a battle between the past and the muthafuckin’ future.”

Eminem dropped the surprise Kamikaze album on August 31, which became his ninth chart-topping album in the US. It hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart with numbers that surpassed last year’s Revival album, and launched all 11 of its songs into the Hot 100.

    1. The only reason MGK didn’t blow up over the past 6-8 years is because Eminem was blackballing him. MGK has already won, not just because he mentioned Eminem’s name, but because he took away Eminem’s ability to blackball him going forward. Dude has earned major respect from everyone but Eminem Stans. Now EVERYBODY KNOWS how well MGK can spit bars. He dropped the Rap Devil diss track only 2 days after Eminem dropped Kamikaze…and the track is so dope that it’s gone global. Check the streaming charts. Rap Devil is #1 in the U.S. and #15 in the UK. That’s higher than any track on Eminem’s Kamikaze album. MGK has put Eminem in a no-win situation. Either Eminem doesn’t respond and takes a major L, or he claps back and gives MGK more opportunity to drop another hit diss track and further raise his profile.
