During his sit-down with Shannon Sharpe, 21 Savage admitted that his American Dream biopic isnāt real after all.
āThat was a parody,ā he said. āI feel like it could be [a real movie] one day. Theyāll hate on it now, though, ācause they going to be like, āWhat the fuck 21 Savage deserve a story for? [ā¦] What he did?āā

An official press release for the film was sent out by Epic Records earlier this month and claimed that Donald Glover and Stranger Thingsā Caleb McLaughlin would share the role of the London-born star.
The movie ended up being a music video for 21ās song āall of me,ā which did actually feature Glover and McLaughlin as the Slaughter Gang boss at different ages. Metro Boomin also makes an appearance in the clip.
The stunt also helped drum up promotion for 21 Savageās new album, also called American Dream, which was released on January 12 and boasts appearances from Young Thug, Travis Scott, Doja Cat and more.
The project recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after earning 133,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, handing 21 his fourth chart-topper. It also marks his largest sales tally as a solo artist.
