Metro Boomin Contests 2Pac ‘All Eyez On Me’ Ranking On Apple Music’s Top 100 Albums

Metro Boomin has made it clear that he thinks Apple Music messed up with their placement of 2Pac‘s classic album All Eyez on Me on its new Top 100 Albums list.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday (May 16), the super-producer quote-tweeted the streaming giant’s citation of the album as No. 62 on its chart, and opined that the Powers That Be should reconsider its ranking.

“Way too low on the list,” he remarked.

    Check it out below.

Metro Boomin isn’t the only one who’s feeling a type of way about the Apple Music Top 100 Albums rankings.

SZA is also not happy with where her blockbuster album SOS has been ranked on Apple Music’s Top 100 Albums of All Time.

The project, which was only released in December 2022 but has been an enormous success, came in at number 72 on the list.

After catching wind of the list, the TDE singer appeared to take issue with her placement by writing in an Instagram comment: “Lmao 72nd is so disrespectful.”

The full list will not be made available until May 22, but the streaming platform has been rolling it out in batches of 10 since the start of this week.

Within the already announced selections, there are a slew of fan-favorite rap albums including Travis Scott‘s Astroworld (No. 98), Tyler, The Creator’s Flower Boy (No. 92), Eminem‘s The Marshall Mathers LP (No. 80), Missy Elliott‘s Supa Dupa Fly (No. 75) and N.W.A‘s Straight Outta Compton (No. 70).

De La Soul‘s 3 Feet High and Rising came in at number 65 while Baduizm by Erykhah Badu placed at number 64 and All Eyez on Me, as noted, landed at number 62.

Snoop Dogg50 CentUsherSolange, and Mary J. Blige also have albums within the top 100.

Fat Joe recently heaped high praise one of the albums on the list: 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

Speaking on an episode of BET’s Diggin’ in the Crates last week, Joey Crack crowned it “one of the greatest albums of all time” despite his past issues with the G-Unit general.

“It’s crazy ’cause I had beef with him and I wouldn’t allow myself to hear it, wouldn’t let DJs play it. But I knew that it was G-Unit,” he said.

    1. All Eyes On Me is a classic but I’m curious how many of the albums on that list the whiners have actually listened too. Because if you exclusively listen to hip hop then how can you argue about a list that contains all genres?

      1. It was the first hip-hop double CD he literally birthed the wave. I agree it isn’t his best album but it had the biggest cultural impact.

      2. No it’s not, Fresh Prince had the first double album. AEOM had the biggest impact for sure, but I think Me against the World is a better album too.
