Method Man & Redman Reportedly Aren’t In “How High 2”

The long-awaited sequel to How High reportedly won’t see Method Man and Redman reprising their roles of Silas and Jamal. According to TMZ, sources close to How High 2 have revealed the duo weren’t cast in the upcoming movie.

Unlike the original film, How High 2 is a made-for-TV movie. The sequel is scheduled to premiere on MTV in 2019.

Lil Yachty recently announced his starring role in the film. Comedian DC Young Fly, best known as a cast member of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out, will be Lil Boat’s co-star.

DeRay Davis and Mary Lynn Rajskub are among the notable cast members for How High 2. Lil Baby and Tameka “Tiny” Harris have also landed roles in the film.

Although Method Man, Redman and much of the team behind 2001’s How High aren’t involved in the sequel, one of the original producers will be part of the new film.

Shauna Garr is back to produce along with Quality Control’s Kevin “Coach K” Lee and Pierre “Pee” Thomas.

        1. Right! They shoulda did a Mac and Dev, How High crossover for the sequel. Red, Meth, Snoop and Wiz. Thatd be dope af!

    1. So this basically aint How High 2… It’s just some corny ass rapper wannabes trying to make their own How High… No wonder its a ‘straight to mtv’ piece of shit!!

    2. Like Redman and method man would even associate with this fool!!! They aint gonna be like 50 and make moves wiv trash like 69… These young uns really class yachty and 69 as rappers??? Chat bs on the mic…kill em all!!!!!

      1. You know how many legendary actors there are who are over 50? That’s way Hip Hop is trash. No real love for the artist..

        1. Never said anything about moving on from hip hop. Public schools must be letting everyone graduate these days. Red and meth are too mature for that movie. Meth in Red Tails, good.

      2. But even at 50, both of them would still beat your a$$. LMFAO!!! Keep trolling before you have to give your mom her phone back. LMAO!!!

    3. Red and Meth haven’t pushed themselves as artists in the world of hiphop for a long time, so it’s their own fault really. You need hype and anticipation to generate interest for an investment like a film. I hope they at least get a cameo though. They don’t own the intellectual property right for How High, it’s a cult film that got a life of it’s own after release. In fact, the original didn’t even break even, considering marketing costs.

      1. First, if you don’t think Red and Meth haven’t pushed themselves in the hip hop world for a long time, you haven’t been paying attention to the hip hop world. Second, it’s it the responsibility of the stars of any movie or show to market and create hype, that is the sole responsibility of the producers and the studio.

    4. Could Method Man & Red Man do a part 2 the movie Who’s The Man ? Staring Ed Lover & Dr. Dre ? Is EPMD in your Top 10 greatest hip hop groups ?

    5. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE I HOPE THIS BULLSHIT GETS RELEASED STRAIGHT TO VHS UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES.
