Megan Thee Stallion has made sure to give props to Cardi B while dishing the dirt on their successful working relationship.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the Houston Hottie spoke about the creative freedom she experiences while making music with the Bronx rap superstar.

“She literally just let me do me,” Meg explained. “This is the second time she’s sent me a song, and I’ll be like, ‘Friend, can I do whatever I want to do on the beat? I’m finna put two verses on here, alright?’ She always let me do whatever I want to do creatively.”

She went on: “I just appreciate that so much because sometimes people try to give you a direction and they want you to do what they want you to do, but she’s like ‘Megan, what you think?’ She’ll ask me what I think about this song like, ‘OK, how you think we could make it better? What should we do next? Just do whatever you wanna do and then we’ll piece it together.'”

Megan Thee Stallion also said Cardi B is always “open to whatever I’m saying or any suggestion,” and “her ego ain’t big.”

With regards to their friendship, Megan Thee Stallion said that although Cardi was “shy” when they first met, she’s had the opportunity to “see the real her.”

Just last month, the “Savage” rapper spoke about a potential full-length project between her and the former Love & Hip Hop: New York star.

“I literally think that’s the route that we’re going,” Megan Thee Stallion told Complex.  “So I’ve done two songs for her. And now I feel like I’m in a space where I know exactly what songs I want her to do for me. So we’re really building a little EP already.

“We’re gonna have enough music that we need to go on tour together. Me and [Cardi B] going out together will be so amazing. We are already so cool. And I feel like we got similar fans. So if she wanted to do a little EP, I would definitely be so down to do that, but we are making enough music to already have that.”

As two of the biggest rappers in the game today, they first linked up in 2020 for “WAP,” the raunchy, in-your-face hit that topped the Billboard Hot 100 and shocked millions around the globe — including Snoop Dogg.

The pair then reunited in September for the similarly sexually-charged “Bongos,” which is already making a splash on the charts having debuted at No. 14 on the Hot 100.
