Meek Mill Reportedly Earning Pennies Per Hour With Prison Gigs

Philly rapper Meek Mill is reportedly putting in work at the State Correctional Institution in Chester, Pennsylvania.

According to TMZ, Meek is a part of the prison’s general labor crew, where he’s responsible for cleaning the cell block, tidying up the prison grounds, washing dishes, and cooking/serving food.

Despite earning a meager 19 cents per hour, Meek is reportedly a model inmate.

Among the perks of good behavior: access to various workshops (like electrical and carpentry) and a spot on the list for therapy courses.

This week started on a rough note for Meek, after it was reported that the rapper was denied bail for a second time. The judge in Meek’s case, Genece Brinkley, deemed him a “danger” to the community and a flight risk.

In November, Meek Mill was sentenced to between two and four years in prison over parole violations.

    1. Meek been in jail before, he knows how to swim with sharks, plus he got the respect from the streets, with the money his team got he can pay inmates and guards for protection, money runs all jails.

    2. Give them those two years so they no longer will have anything hanging over your head. You’ve already earned the trust and respect of the people. You’re straight for the rest of your life based off those principles alone.

    3. I hear Meek head game serious. This is known by not only the other prisoners but also the prison staff. Everybody know how Meek get busy as the top “prag” with the lipstick and wig and all.

    4. Hip Hop DX is exploiting the culture at this point. I remember they questioned whether or not Kevin Gates should have for more time and now they’re making light of what Meek makes in prison as if it’s not know that these guys are slaves. I don’t know what happened to this site and who runs it now but they are not fans of the culture at all and only care about Lil Pump, Drake and the dude who overdosed a couple weeks ago. It’s pathetic and it’s time for some competition

    5. “Model inmate” is a fucking joke, if you don’t do what they say they mace you, beat the shit out of you, and throw you in the hole. That’s even more fucked up that they make their “therapy classes” contingent on forced labor. Rehabilitation certificates are pretty much a requirement if you ever plan on going in front of a parole board. Without them you might as well plan on flatting. I don’t even like Meek’s shit but he’s the victim of serious exploitation here and Wack is right, dx is making light of it.

      1. Yes your right man we should give them multi million dollar salaries… but your right the physical abuse in the prisons is sickening but your not there to be happy…

    6. Lol””rehabitation” please someone explain How does making 19cent in prison help 1 prepare you for the outside world. Sounds like the perfect set up 1st u got me used to make $0.19 then
you put me out in the world that requires a thousand times that amount?””I’ll guess I’ll just have to rob another bank

    7. hhdx is making fun of the situation.. trolling a ninja in hard times over n over.. quick as usual to lick drakes nuts at a drop of a dime.. talking bout twitter is going crazy over an alleged drake collab with MF.. who cares? this meek situation ain’t funny at all.. but y’all quick to make fun of him..!! report on real hip hop stuff not biased bull to try n make someone look bad or whack..
