Meek Mill Names His Favorite Albums Of 2012

Meek Mill dropped off his debut album Dreams & Nightmares this year, but he’s been keeping up on music from his peers. During an interview with Rap-Up.com, the Maybach Music Group rapper named his favorite albums of 2012, picking Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city, 2 Chainz’s Based on a T.R.U. Story, Future’s Pluto and more.

“My favorite album of 2012? I don’t know. I got a favorite album I would say. I would say the best album besides mine is Kendrick, 2 Chainz… What else is fire that I’d be listening to? I don’t want to say the political answer. I want to say who we’re really listening to. We be listening to [Chief Keef’s ‘Love Sosa’]. Yo Gotti and Lil Reese and shit, Lil Durk’s [‘Right Here’]. ‘The number one spot,’ we be on the hard shit. Future is one of my favorite albums.”

    1. “I would say the best album besides mine is Kendrick”

where does this kid get off comparing his album’s to Kendrick’s? “Besides mine”.. is he saying his is better, or that they’re equally dope? FOH!

      1. If you don’t think your shit is good, why the fuck would you be rapping ? Of course he loves his album, why woudln’t he ?

    2. Future has literally less skill then SOULJA BOY. Worst rapper ever.. 2Chainz sucks horribly too but can be somewhat entertaining at times. GKMC AOTY by miles (and don’t say Life is Good that album doesn’t even come close.)

the 10 best albums imo this year no real order, if i had to pick 1… would be gkmc or life is good, but lets be honest 2012 has been a good year 😀

    6. Lol, have any of you heard more than 10 albums from this year? Everyone has the same list like seriously, listen to more dickriders.

    7. Man judging on how good Meek really is I would have thought that he actually had good taste in music…you know he wasn’t listing to that kinda shit before he started rapping. Good Kid was awesome though. Even though I don’t have the urge to listen to Food&Liquor2 anymore, I’ll put that up there just cause lyrically Lupe goes off. Control System by Ab Soul. Channel Orange, Life is good. My favorite album would have to be “Give me my flowers While I can still smell them” by Blu and Exile, even though I guess technically that came out last December but the good version came out this yr. PeaCe.

    8. Xzibit: Napalm
      Slaughterhouse: Welcome To Our House

      Game: Jesus Piece
      Nas: Life Is Good

Meeks tracklist is absolutely shit! This guy isn’t worth all the hype & media attention at all!
