Master P Says MMG Is A “Better Fit” For Fat Trel Than No Limit Forever

Louie V Mob, a group consisting of Fat Trel, Alley Boy and No Limit boss Master P, dropped a mixtape together last year titled New World Order. The February 2013 mixtape would be both the debut and final project of the trio as we know it as Fat Trel would sign to Maybach Music Group just five months later.

In a recent statement he made to AllHipHop, Master P talked about the disintegration of his relationship with Fat Trel and says the Washington D.C. native wouldn’t be a good fit for his label.

“Fat Trel is a good rap artist, but the No Limit Forever brand is about building entrepreneurs and business partners,” he said. “When I was around Fat Trel, he was in a rush to getting a check and a record deal versus being patient and building his own to be a true boss. I even spoke with his manager and told him that this was not an overnight process. I’m not in the business of signing artists, this second go round I want to help all of my artists/partners to become their own boss but that requires sacrifice and hard work if you want to make millions. I’m not just cutting checks and taking care of artists anymore. No Limit Forever is a real independent company, this is not just a write-off for us. And if you’re a real street dude, you would appreciate me for what I’ve already done for you and your family.”

Master P also talked about his initial relationship with Fat Trel and says he treated him as a member of his movement even without officially signing him.

“I went above and beyond for Fat Trel,” he explained. “I took him out a negative environment, got him a safe place to stay in Los Angeles, transportation, put money in his pocket, paid for plane tickets and hotels for him and his team, got him exposure, put him on music with me and all without a contract just because I believed in the little homie.”

Finally, P gave Gleesh his blessing and says he’s a better fit with MMG.

“I told his mother that I would do my best to help him. I admit I was surprised when I heard that he did a deal with Wale because I thought they didn’t like each other. But I wish him the best with MMG. I think it’s a better fit for him as an artist.”

In an April 3 interview, Fat Trel told MTV that his business with No Limit “didn’t go right” and that he and Master P “have no relationship.”

“It didn’t go right,” he said when asked why he didn’t sign to No Limit Records. “Things weren’t done correctly on the business tip, so me and Master P have no relationship.”

Back in October of 2012, it seemed imminent that Fat Trel would be signing to No Limit. In a tweet on Halloween of that year, Trel relayed that a “big decision” was coming and “#NoLimit” followed.

    1. These rappers today just want the money and fame as quick as possible and dont care for anything else and will do whatever to get it even if they have to sell their soul or have diddy fucking em

    2. Who cares? This fat nigga is wack as hell, he a mix between Chief Keef and Ross. He will be dead, in jail or back on the streets by this time next year.

      1. Chief Keef & Trel- Russian Roulette…I DONT CARE WHAT Y’ALL SAY!!! That song put alot of niggas on to Trel.

    3. $97/hr pavivdv by Google, I am making a good salary from home $5500-$7000/week , which is amazing, under a year ago I was jobless in a horrible economy. I thank God every day I was blessed with these instructions and now it’s my duty to pay it forward and share it with Everyone, Here is I started,,,

    4. No Limit is a bad fit for any rapper because I cant recall the last rapper that had a buzz or success out of their camp.

Master P declared bankruptcy so his business acumen is questionable, a rich man should have his business in order.

MMG is good for Trel because his brother Wale is there and the MMG machine is well oiled and gets their artists the maximum in exposure.

Fat Trel would be Missing in action if he was on No Limit.

      1. And ur gonna buy his cd because he on MMG?..I didn’t think so..I think P know what he talking about..P was just saying he didn’t wanna write homie a check and not get his return..he trying to show a cat how to do more than rap and that’s what niggas don’t get..that first check is like steak and shrimp to these young cats but when he don’t blow he wont be on MMG ..

      2. “the MMG machine is well oiled and gets their artists the maximum in exposure”

Hell yeah, I saw Gunplay on TMZ too! He was getting his azz beat and flying through the air on some neverending story type shit but he still got that maximum exposure. He even helped MMG get some maximum exposure when he got his MMG chain in a 50 Cent video with Snoop!

      3. That post is by @BruthaDee. I follow him on Twitter and promote him online, if you give him a shout out or name drop he might respond to you so give it a lot of tries!

      4. The whites give @BruthaDee name drops he trained them to read his posts and then stamp his name on it so he knows they read his words. Some literally ignore him but others are fascinated and intrigued by him and show their love by chanting his name on their keyboards.

    5. He’s a better fit for mmg because no limit can’t really get anything out other than Master P and maybe his son.

MMG releases projects from meek and wale and stalley and other dope artists and have success each time.

      1. Ummm do they?…you must be talking mixtape..they sale a little but the only nigga that has a gold record besides Ross is Wale

      2. Meek Mill only did 380K and had the tenth best selling Rap album of 2012 but sales only count if you reach 500K and go Gold. The only rap nigga on Good Music that has a Gold record besides Kanye is Kid Cudi.

      3. Nah, nigga, that was me. Forgot about Webbie’s Gold album, ho ass nigga? I also went Gold 3 times with Bun. Smoke sumthin, bitch!

      4. LOL @ faggots comparing MMG to GOOD music!!! LOL HAAAA good joke for the day!!

MMG is fucking terrible, same fuck boys bumpin that shit, same stupid niggas buying jordans instead of child support

      5. One of the whites became angry when we mentioned GOOD music and MMG in the same sentence.

MMG and Good collaborate often to show contempt for the haters, so you will see Meek and Ross on a Big Sean album and then Kanye on Ross album and Ross on his….then Ross on Pusha T album and Big Sean on a Meek album.

The most frequent collab between the two labels is Jon Legend and Ross, I think but my fav song is probably “Slight Work” feat Big Sean and Wale.

We enjoy music that makes the outsiders angry.

      6. “I think but my fav song is probably “Slight Work” feat Big Sean and Wale.”

This says so much about you lololol.

    6. I thought he had beef with Wale too wtf? You gotta be dumb as rocks to sign with Wale and Ross, who’s signed to someone else, over Master P, just compare the resumes fuck who’s hot right now.

P was gonna teach him how to be a boss, Ross will show him how to pretend to be one.

      1. Artists sign where they feel they can get the most exposure, have the most creative control and get the most money. MMG move like a major label, they have their own A&Rs, their own film crew and their own promotion&marketing team. Master P is a legend so lets see how Alley Boys career goes and lets see how Trels career goes.

      2. “Artists sign where they feel they can get the most exposure, have the most creative control and get the most money. “MMG moves LIKE a MAJOR LABEL”… Don’t major labels rob the artist?

    7. one of the ugliest rappers in the game

actually no one is uglier than this lord of the rings ogre looking ass ninja

    8. Yeah, he right, it’s a better fit. Be sure to checkout thegrandreport, the have some good hip hop and viral videos on there

    9. “”the MMG machine is well oiled and gets their artists the maximum in exposure”

I’m Black so when I referenced “exposure” I was speaking in reference to print media, radio, and television, the circus stuff is for entertaining 50acent fans who lurk on TMZ and other gossip sites more than music sites.

      1. It’s a family affair over there, when you do the research on these vanity labels you will see how they are all ran different but the ones that seem to be successful are the ones with diverse rosters.

Rockie Fresh, Omarion and Wale are vastly different artists but have their own lane nonetheless.

    10. “but sales only count if you reach 500K and go Gold”

Usually I’d throw verbal ninja stars at a statement like this, but I agree.

    11. $97/hr pavivdv by Google, I am making a good salary from home $5500-$7000/week , which is amazing, under a year ago I was jobless in a horrible economy. 12. I heard was financially raping his artists back in the No Limit golden era. And what happened to Beats by the Pound? One of the greatest production groups ever just fell off the map when No Limit folded

      1. Well you heard wrong. Mia X said everyone had a 50/50 deal they split the sales of the records 50/50 with P as well as owning a portion of their masters.

      2. you right, I read that interview with Mr. Serv-on. Shit was cool till KLC and P didn’t see eye to eye

      3. from the dozens of artists signed to No Limit, no one has ever come forth with a story of being taken advantage of, in fact, most agree that they had the absolute best record deals in the history of the industry…niggas would kill for the types of deals P offered his artist’s in the late 90’s…

    13. This comment was removed for violating our spam and/or offensive content policies.

    14. Fat Trel isn’t loyal just like everyone else on MMG. It’s cool though Ross don’t care, he signs niggas who shit talk him on twitter and who film his buddys momma for the enemy.

    15. Fat Trel is not a good rapper. He’s trying to hurry and get a check before the industry finds out that he’s garbage. I live in DC, many of our ” artist ” don’t take the time to study lyricism or surround themselves with real rappers. They dont give two f#*ks about hip hop, they just get in the rap game for the attention. Trel will be another embarrassment.
