Master P Dropping Same Day as 50 Cent?

No Limit Records founder, Master P, and his son, Romeo, will be releasing the first ever father/son hip hop album (titled Hip Hop History) on September 4th. The same day as the recently pushed back third album from 50 Cent.

The once No limit soldier states that he is not trying to compete with the Jamaica Queens emcee but rather give consumers a choice between good and evil.

“This record isn’t about making money, it’s about providing a choice, changing, and hopefully saving lives … Before we condemn others for making a change, we should take a look in the mirror and ask ourselves, what are we doing? Are we part of the problem or are we a part of the solution?” Master P stated.

The first ever father and son album will feature appearances by Chamillionaire and Silkk The Shocker along with other rappers. The disc will also make “history” because of its non explicit language throughout. The lead single off the compilation is a song with Romeo called “If We Change.”

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a street person or not, you can still listen to this. Me and Romeo are giving ourselves and that’s what you have to do. We’re both maturing and taking our game to the next level and that’s what Hip Hop is all about,” P stated.

But clean records are not the only thing Master P is cranking out. His book, “Guaranteed Success,” also has the same September arrival date as the CD.

Any and all proceeds from Hip Hop History will go to foundations and scholarships for underprivileged children who have hopes of attending college.
