Marvel Drops Hip Hop Variant Covers Inspired By Migos, 50 Cent, Brand Nubian & More

Marvel continues to put on for Hip Hop through their popular album variant covers. The iconic comic book publisher has released album art inspired by projects from Run The Jewels, Jay Z, Frank Ocean, RZA, Joey Bada$$ and many more.

Today, Marvel has decided to reimagine some popular covers stretching from the past to the present. This includes takes on Migos’ Culture, 50 Cent’s Guess Who’s Back, The Firm’s debut album and more.

Speaking with 2DopeBoyz back in 2015, Marvel Editor-In-Chief Axel Alonso had this to say about the covers:

“I just told [SVP for Print, Sales & Marketing] David Gabriel, who oversees our variant cover campaigns, ‘Hey, I want to do a Hip-Hop variant cover for every new launch from October through February.’ Not some titles, every title. And he said, ‘Okay, just don’t do Vanilla Ice.'”
