“I love when people smile and have fun, ain’t nothing wrong with that,” he added.

Pimpin’ and Parlae even chimed in about some of their favorite artists who are revitalizing Hip Hop’s dance culture, including Lil Uzi Vert and the dance craze surrounding “Just Wanna Rock.” The conversation also turned to how the Franchize Boyz’ hit and it’s dance have lasted for generations.

From Mannie’s perspective as a producer and DJ, it’s something that today’s artists may not be able to reach.

“It ain’t a diss but you probably not gonna hear none of the new shit played at a wedding reception five years from now,” he said, as well as giving the Franchize Boyz their just due regrading their hit track’s lasting power.

Upon being asked what’s his favorite track when he gets behind the turntables, Mannie immediately named one of his biggest hits, “Back Dat Azz Up,” from Juvenile’s 400 Degreez album.

Like “Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It,” the song has transcended generations and maintained a nostalgic connection with fans over the years, even being played at weddings and graduations. However, Mannie considers it to be “the greatest love song of all time.”

    1. Hmm, I don’t know..I think “Nann” by Trick Daddy and Trina might be the best love song. You can get really great relationship advice from that.

    2. Manny might be onto something but Back that azz up gets slightly edged by Slow Motion by Soulja Slim. That there let you get it fast or slow whilst you sink yo teeth into it!

    3. Funny, cuz I have it on my “sliide music” playlist, which is slow jams mixed with strip club joints such as Back That Azz Up (and Nann, Shake It Fast, Get Low… 5 decades of let’s kutt music).
