After a highly successful debut, a weak crew album and an even worse sophomore LP, Ma$e effectively made his retirement from hip hop to devote his life to God. This came as a surprise to many because of both the content of his music and his seemingly perfect fit as Puffy’s sidekick for life.
Ma$e has since wrote his autobiography entitled “Revelations” that details his life in and out of the music business. Some of the things that Ma$e details (courtesy Hiphopsite) are the number of labels fighting over him, the spending spree that he and his boys went on after signing with Bad Boy, his hesitation to attend the church that changed his life and Foxy Brown’s broken promise. Apparently, she was supposed to join him in retirement for the same reason and backed out at the last minute. Whether you liked his music or not I’m sure that this one will be worth checking out.
