Mac Miller Announces Mother’s Day Mixtape

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native Mac Miller is slated to release a new mixtape on Mother’s Day.

During show at Carnegie Mellon Saturday night (April 12), Mac announced that he’ll be dropping the tape May 11 and performed three songs off of it including “Therapy,” “Insomniac” and a third one whose name wasn’t mentioned. The title of the project was also unmentioned.

Mac Miller yelled out during his performance of the unnamed track, “I did it all without a Drake feature,” possibly referring to a January interview in which he said Drake had “the game on lock” with how he releases music.

“This is the name of the game for 2014, D.A.D.D. Do as Drake does,” he said. “Because Drake had the game on lock. If you wanna watch how anyone releases music and puts out an album, watch Drake.” Mac also recently told MTV he’s already recorded four albums for 2014.

“I have four albums done right now — not done, but four albums that have a foundation and have at least seven songs on each of them,” he said.

Mac Miller’s last project release was 2013’s Watching Movies with the Sound Off. He is currently on tour.

    1. “I did it all without a Drake feature,”

No he didn’t. Talk to me when Mac Miller sells more than drake.

      1. The fuck does selling more have to do with a Drake feature. He means he got big without ever having to put Drake on one of his songs.

    2. Actually mac is independent so he will never sell like Drake however he does put out better albums Watching Movies With The Sound Off > NWTS. Mac is too humble to call himself the best artist in the game and if you analyze music you would say the same

      1. Mac Miller is a true boss. He’s independent, doesn’t own his own label, or have 25 chicken restaurants, endorsements or any gold albums but he somehow still made as much paper as the biggest boss Rik Rozz.

      1. he makes some good songs if you’re in the club or driving around with your girl

i know my girl aint into that trap shit

      2. Drake for females n homo’s no real hip hop fan drives around listening to drake on they own unless they cruising for cock

    3. Mac Miller, Drake, Curren$y, Freddie Gibbs,YG, Action Bronson, A$AP Mob = the only rappers out getting money doing their own thing. Consistently dropping heat in timely fashion

    4. Watching Movies was such a dope album. Really overlooked for last year. Won’t say underrated cause most people gave it dope reviews but not enough hip-hop fans checked it. Looking forward to this even though his mixtapes can be REALLY hit or miss.

Whoever posted this is lame. Y do u care how much money another man has. Make your own money; which I doubt u do if u r so busy riding rappers money game.lol Thats homo for sure

    6. Mac Miller is a true boss. He’s nev been signed to another rapper,, doesn’t own his own label, or have movie deals, headphone lines, endorsements or any Diamond selling albums but he somehow still made as much paper as Curtis Interscope Jackson, a.k.a 50 Cent.

      1. check the forbes list, curtis made more and was in the top 20 but rick ross wasnt top 20 and he tied with mac miller and questlove!

      2. Mac Miller, QuestLove (Drummer from the Roots) were all at the bottom of Forbes while the
Big Bosses like Diddy, JayZ and Dr Dre were at the TOP of Forbes were all the platinum artists belong.

Diddy, JayZ, Dr Dre and the big bosses stay winning.

    7. Fiddy is the greatest businessman in HipHop but Mac Miller was right next to him on the Forbes list without an Eminem feature or a Dre beat, oh how the mighty have fallen.

      1. Mac Miller failed to go Platinum but he makes as much as 50 on an Indie without Jimmy Iovine and
        Nascar promotions.

    8. Lol everybody talking about his wealth and record sales. This isn’t a businessman or CEO he’s a fucking musician. How about just listening to the music for once and stop spending all day on the internet looking at gossip sites? Jeez

      1. Speak for yourself fuckO, I dont give a shit about music I only care about sales stats and who makes the most money. Give me other options besides gossip and I promise to go cold turkey.

      2. its great that a white non ceo or businessman can make as much without even trying as one of the hardest working rappers in the biz

    9. Mac Miller made his millions without superstar co signs, he uses good music instead of beef gimmicks and now he makes as much money a year as 50 Cent.

      1. also came up with that other pittsburg rapper and his entire production/management team/label… FOH

    10. “he makes some good songs if you’re in the club or driving around with your girl

i know my girl aint into that trap shit”

Clubs? Cars? Girls? Do you honest’y think these fags know anything about a normal life like that?!

    11. Mac Miller may be making as much as 50 but Ross is making far more than him. He donates most of his net worth to charity in order to seem humble.

      1. so hes not really humble he just wants to “seem humble”? lol

story of rickys life, pretending to be something hes not

    12. “He was on an Ariana Grande song called The Way. He sold out.”

      ^

Who the fuck is “Ariana Grande”?

    13. Basically this cr4cker is a guest in the house of hiphop. He does not have the right to breathe, let alone do anything hiphop related.

ps. i want to suck on his white penis like “suck my fuckin dick you n!gger” “yes massa”

    14. Mac Miller might be a guest in the house of HipHop but he made as much as 50 Cent last year without the headphones, energy drinks, and movie deals.

      1. 50 made more, Mac Miller ties Rick Ross, Young Jeezy and Questlove outside the top 20 hip-hop earners.
