Mo Fayne of Love & Hip Hop fame is reportedly facing more than 12 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to defrauding the government using the Paycheck Protection Program.
Prosecutors alleged Fayne furnished a lavish lifestyle using the PPP loan program established in 2020 to assist employers and small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to TMZ, Mo Fayne was ordered to forfeit nearly $100,000 from several bank accounts as well as eight 2015 Kenworth T680 trucks. The government alleged Fayne, real name Maurice Fayne, secured a $2 million PPP loan and used it to purchase luxury vehicles, $85,000 worth of jewelry and pay off old debts such as child support.
Before entering the guilty plea, Mo Fayne faced 20 fraud-related charges and could’ve been sentenced to a maximum of 30 years behind bars. Instead, feds recommended he serve 12 and a half years in federal prison due to his cooperation.

Mo Fayne isn’t the only Love & Hip Hop star set to serve time behind bars for defrauding the government. Rapper Baby Blue of Pretty Ricky is expected to plead guilty to charges stemming from his alleged involvement in a $24 million PPP loan scheme, including charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud and bank fraud.
