LL Cool J has launched his new SiriusXM show Rock The Bells Radio, which solely focuses on classic Hip Hop. Ahead of the launch, the Kennedy Center honoree declared the channel is “strictly for the O.G.s.”
“If you wanna be a fly on the wall in the world of classic Hip Hop, SiriusXM’s ‘Rock the Bells Radio’ is for you,” LL said in a press release. “It’s where fans can come and be immersed in the music, the culture, the energy and the history of classic Hip Hop. We’re gonna have great artists, legendary artists, lyricists, superstars, sex symbols. This is the place to be if you want uncut, raw, pure, classic Hip Hop, but there’s one catch — it’s strictly for O.G.’s.”
The channel will play artists like Ice Cube, Stetsasonic, Eric B. & Rakim, Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Kool Moe Dee, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, Ultramagnetic MCs, Too Short, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Wu-Tang Clan, Run-DMC, Brand Nubian, De La Soul, Black Moon and Ice T, among others.
In addition to the music, Rock The Bells Radio will air interviews and in-depth retrospectives curated and presented by the Grammy Award-winning MC.
To coincide with the launch, a special invitation-only roller skating soiree kicks off on Wednesday (March 28) at World On Wheels in Los Angeles. Hosted by LL and DJ Z-Trip, the event also features a live broadcast.
It all goes down at 7 p.m. PST on SiriusXM Channel 43, the new home of Rock The Bells Radio.

ABOUT TIME. Backspin was getting played out. So many stories to tell. These new heads must learn.
Oh word?? The new heads are about to start listening to old school music and leave their mumble rap behind?? FOH!
Refreshing to hear.
Looks like almost the same playlist. Ultramagnetic is the only name not currently played on the regular.
No mumble raps allowed on this station.
I think they should have a RBT station, that plays the pioneers of hip-hop, and then Golden Age, which plays hip-hop from the 90’s only. Sometimes I just want to hear Gang Starr, ATCQ, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep without having to hear the stuff from way, way back.
Man I’ve been listening for Mc Schooly D PSK What does it mean even when this station was called something else can I get that song played
Lastly,,, You young fools, some cool and most straight up wack! Don’t trip, I’m just straight up old school and necessarily don’t fall into that demographic today but advice… The reason why “L”, Big Snoopy, Cube, Jay-Z and just a few others stay relevant to this game to this very day it’s respect “game recognize game”.
