Lizzo wasted no time calling up Yung Miami to get clarity around a comment she’d made about the singer’s weight.

In her new interview with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast, the former City Girls rapper was asked if she thinks women get pushed to do surgery. Miami emphatically said yes, nothing how people are always criticizing women whether they do surgery or stay natural – and used Lizzo’s recent weight loss to make her point.

“I’ma just use Lizzo for example,” Miami said. “Everybody was all, ‘Oh my God, she’s so fat!’ She looks so good now, and now it’s like, ‘Oh my God, ew! She need to stop!’ Pick a side.”

Lizzo wasn’t sure what Miami meant by the “ew,” so she called her up on a recent livestream to clear the air.

“Before you lost the weight, people would be like she should lose weight, she too fat, that shit not cute, that’s what I was pertaining to,” Miami explained.

“I thought you were saying I was too little,” Lizzo giggled.

“Everybody says you look good, but then you have the five percent that say she looks better fat,” Miami added. “You can’t make nobody happy and they always got something to say when it comes to women’s bodies.”

Lizzo totally understood and agreed, leading to a positive ending to the call. You can view their convo and the original clip below.

During a Twitch stream on Valentine’s Day, Lizzo discussed her longtime friendship with the New Jersey songstress and revealed that they considered forming a group while they were recording their collab “F2F” from SZA’s 2022 SOS album.

“We just always been friends, and it’s a sacred space for me in this industry,” Lizzo explained. “We [had] this little period of time where we were just linking up in the studio. One particular night, mind you, we was gonna start a rock band, called Pussy Lasers. Oh my gosh, she not gonna get mad if I say this.

“We were going to start a rock band called Pussy Lasers with an incredible other artist who I don’t know if she even wants to be mentioned, so I’m not going to mention her.”

“I was like, this shit is hard, though,” she added. “I was like, ‘Man, pull that Pussy Lasers shit up!’ And let me tell you something – I sat and watched this girl freestyle the whole fucking song. She ate that shit! At the end of it, I was like, ‘That’s the song.’”
