Lil Wayne‘s son Neal is not a fan of Lil Baby‘s new album, WHAM — and he’s not alone.
Speaking on a livestream, the 15-year-old (whose mother is R&B singer Nivea) made it clear he was not impressed with Baby’s latest effort.

“‘You and Baby should do a music video’?” he said, reading aloud a comment from one of his followers. “You gotta be out your goddamn mind. That n-gga dropped a terrible album. I’m not making a music video with him.”
He added: “Lil Baby’s not even butt, bruh. It’s just that album was terrible.”

Lil Wayne’s son is not the only person to publicly trash WHAM, which was released earlier this month and features Young Thug’s first verse since being released from jail.
Akademiks was equally critical of the album, saying on his Rumble channel: “This Lil Baby album that just dropped was garbage. It didn’t sound good, it didn’t look good.”

The media personality added: “He doesn’t sound like he’s back. It sounds like a man without a country, a man trying to make things happen. It was bad.”
Kai Cenat also reviewed the album on his popular Twitch channel and scored it a less-than-stellar 6 out of 10.

Lil Baby was asked about Cenat’s opinion of WHAM during a recent interview with Complex and dismissed it as unworthy of merit based on the streamer’s age.
He said: “I saw little clips of it. But people like Kai Cenat, I feel like they’re younger. They won’t really understand how I’m coming. You have to be a little older to really get it.”
He also told the publication: “That’s something that’s changed anyway, because I never used to think that there was any age demographic [that was] good to rate music unless you’re a music person. If it was a music person, then I’d probably be more interested.
“But the streamers and people who do reviews, that’s just their personal opinion. They know nothing about music for real.”

Despite the mixed reviews, WHAM has been performing well commercially.
The 15-track album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 after earning 140,000 equivalent units in its first-week, making it by far the biggest rap album of 2025 so far.

The 4PF frontman has plenty more in the pipeline, including a follow-up project called Dominique dropping in February, a compilation album from his label titled Can’t Be Fucked With and a potential joint effort with Future and Young Thug.
