Lil Wayne wants to see the Los Angeles Lakers win another Larry O’Brien Trophy and he thinks they ultimately need to ship out Anthony Davis to do so.

On Friday (November 10), Weezy appeared on UNDISPUTED where he made the bold claim to trade the star big man for pieces that hopefully take the Lakers to the next level.

“Anthony Davis, I’ma keep it real, if you ask me if the Lakers want to be a championship team in the future as well you gotta get rid of AD,” he said.

When asked for an explanation from host Skip Bayless, Wayne matter-of-factly replied: “Because he AD. Plain and simple.”

Wayne didn’t want to criticize him for being “soft” or his injury history but he just doesn’t see this working out long-term for the Lakers.

“Because that’s his make-up and that’s who he is. He’s shown us that and I guess the only time he hasn’t shown us that is New Orleans and the bubble championship,” he continued. “Get rid of him and get some good players. We don’t even need a superstar.”

Without LeBron James in the lineup on Sunday (November 12), AD carried the Lakers to victory (116-110) with 30 points and 13 rebounds to go along with six assists across 41 minutes of action.

The Lakers evened their record to 5-5 and will look to put together a winning streak with their next match-up against the lowly Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday (November 14).

Davis’ averages seem to be in line with what he’s done as a Laker with the 30-year-old posting about 24 points a game with 12 rebounds while anchoring the defense.

AD hasn’t been able to escape criticism throughout his time in LA as Cam’ron recently dissed the superstar about his injury history.

“Get it together in the offseason, how about that?” Cam said in March. “You always hurt. You ain’t play 82 games yet. I think you played 82 games never in 15 seasons, 12 seasons, however many fucking seasons you been here.

“Mind you, LeBron is spending $2.5 million on his body, pause, in the offseason to make sure he’s in shape. Meanwhile, you can’t do shit but grow a unibrow.”

However, AD’s agent, Rich Paul, came to his defense and put Cam in his place last month.

“Shout-out to my man Rich Paul. Whoever is Rich Paul’s clients, you guys should feel very lucky. He doesn’t let nothing slide,” Cam said. “He’s very passionate about his clients. He’ll call and try to check you about his clients.

“He texted me like, ‘Y’all kinda went hard on Anthony Davis the other day.’ Just in case y’all missed the episode, there was a statement where LeBron said, ‘This is the year they want to hand the team over to Anthony Davis.’ And we up here and we made a little fun of Anthony Davis.”

He continued: “Rich texted me, ‘You guys went hard on Anthony Davis that was a little crazy.’ And I texted Rich Paul back that’s my man you know we Ohio and all that. I texted him back, ‘Yo Rich listen, maybe I’m on the outside looking in, but I thought that was the whole reason he left New Orleans anyway.”
