Cam’ron isn’t one to mince his words and NBA super-agent Rich Paul has clapped back at the rapper in defense of one of his high-profile clients.
On Wednesday’s (October 18) episode of It Is What It Is, Killa revealed that Paul called him regarding his harsh criticism of Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis.
“Shout-out to my man Rich Paul. Whoever is Rich Paul’s clients, you guys should feel very lucky. He doesn’t let nothing slide,” Cam said. “He’s very passionate about his clients. He’ll call and try to check you about his clients.
“He texted me like, ‘Y’all kinda went hard on Anthony Davis the other day.’ Just in case y’all missed the episode, there was a statement where LeBron said, ‘This is the year they want to hand the team over to Anthony Davis.’ And we up here and we made a little fun of Anthony Davis.”
He continued: “Rich texted me, ‘You guys went hard on Anthony Davis that was a little crazy.’ And I texted Rich Paul back that’s my man you know we Ohio and all that. I texted him back, ‘Yo Rich listen, maybe I’m on the outside looking in, but I thought that was the whole reason he left New Orleans anyway.
“He got to the Lakers and I thought that was LeBron saying, ‘Okay cool, I got somebody young on the team,'” the Dipset rapper added. “I can defer to him and this is a four-year project that hasn’t taken the team over and I relayed that to Rich.
“I thought that was the plan from the jump to give him the team and LeBron is about to be 39 and we still have to go about LeBron giving him the team. LeBron been ready to defer and give him the team.”
Cam also revealed that Paul agreed to come on the show at a later date and they can hash it out for the cameras.
Check out Cam’s comments around the 59:20 mark below:
“Get it together in the offseason, how about that?” Cam said in March. “You always hurt. You ain’t play 82 games yet. I think you played 82 games never in 15 seasons, 12 seasons, however many fucking seasons you been here.
“Mind you, LeBron is spending $2.5 million on his body, pause, in the offseason to make sure he’s in shape. Meanwhile, you can’t do shit but grow a unibrow.”
Anthony Davis will have even more motivation this year with the Lakers season set to tip-off in Denver against the defending champion Nuggets next Tuesday (October 24).
In other Cam’ron news, the Harlem spitter has poked fun at Jada Pinkett Smith in light of her numerous comments about her estranged husband Will Smith.
Ever the jokester, Killa took to Instagram on Thursday (October 19) with a photo dressed in a classic ‘Pac outfit while seemingly filming something.
Poking fun at Jada, while also name-checking one of the songs from 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me album, he wrote: “Picture me rolling. On da way to meet jada.”
